US Elections Insight: The Lead in the Race and Key Economic Challenges As results come in, former President Donald Trump leads in several key states, putting him close to the 270 electoral votes needed for victory. Beyond the immediate outcome, this election also highlights critical economic issues for the U.S.—notably, the staggering fiscal deficit and national debt, now exceeding $35 trillion. Last year marked a historic moment as the U.S. paid more in interest on its debt than it allocated to its national defense budget, underscoring the urgency for sustainable fiscal policy. A prominent voice this cycle has been J.D. Vance, who brings a fresh business perspective to these challenges with his private equity and venture capital experience. It was really nice to see the VP debate recently, both the candidates did a great job. They were so good as the debate was just focused on the business and issues JD Vance in particular was excellent in his approach to economic policy and strategic growth was clear in the debate, which stood out for its serious focus on solutions over blame. it’s encouraging to see leaders with real-world experience in finance and strategy joining the conversation around these monumental fiscal issues. #USElections2024 #Trump #JDVance #FiscalPolicy #EconomicChallenges #NationalDebt
