#LCH #ForexClear continues its upward growth trend, with a 36% increase in total service ADV to US$131bn in Q1 2024 vs Q1 2023. The service also saw record highs in NDF ADV, FX options ADV and client NDF ADV clearing in the first quarter of 2024, as market participants continue to benefit from the margin, capital and operational efficiencies FX clearing enables. Absolutely nonsense. there is no family relationship between Riad Salame and Antoine Salame. Optimum is a brokerage firm, it act as broker for either buyers or sellers. Securities settlements are made at MidClear which settle trades as instructed "pay upon receipt". MidClear insure that payment to optimum is made upon its delivery of the bond or vice versa. By optimum matching the settlement date of both transactions (buy and sell), optimum will not need to borrow from BDL. Most likely, Bdl placed Eurobond buy orders at optimum. Optimum ln turn, bought the bonds from the open market to fill the orders of Bdl. why only optimum? Its market norm not to place buy orders with more than one broker to not push_up the price. Thus, competing against ones self.
