Why #UAE? A Message to Aspiring #CharteredAccountants 🌟 Every day, I receive messages from people curious about job opportunities in Dubai, especially from fellow CAs. Having worked here for the past two years, I can confidently say that UAE unique mix of career potential and lifestyle is incredibly tempting. 🌆 But navigating such a competitive market requires the right approach—and I’m sharing my experience to help you make informed decisions. If you're serious about making the move, here’s where to start: 1️⃣ Gain Relevant Experience: Aim for experience in industries like Artificial Intelligence, Real Estate, Financial Services, Manufacturing, or Hospitality. Recruiters here prioritize candidates with niche expertise. If you’re a fresher, be prepared for intense competition as UAE market is open to CAs, CPAs, ACCAs, and even non-qualified professionals. 💪 The hustle is real! 2️⃣ Be Platform-Savvy: Create and maintain profiles on Gulf Talent, Naukri Gulf, and LinkedIn. Consistency across these platforms is essential because recruiters are actively monitoring them. 👀 3️⃣ Craft a Job-Specific CV: Don’t rely on a generic CV! Each role deserves a tailored CV with keywords specific to the job description. This simple step can significantly boost your visibility with hiring teams. 💼Test your CV with ATS and before applying for job role customize it with job description as #AI is trending Dubai 4️⃣ Network, Network, Network! Most finance roles here are filled through networking. 🌐 Connect with people in your field—reference candidates often get priority if they have the right skills. 5️⃣ Avoid Cold Messages Without Context: If you’re asking for a reference, make it easy for people to help. 📧 Include the job link and code; I often receive CVs without clarity on which position they’re for. In this fast-paced world, helping others help you increases the chances they’ll lend a hand. I hope my experiences from the last two years help you navigate Dubai’s vibrant job market. Stay committed, be strategic, and embrace the journey ahead! 🌍 #UAECareer #MovingAbroad #PersonalJourney #Big4 #CA #dubai

Thinking of moving to Dubai for an IT job? Here are a few things to consider: 1. If you’re a fresher in software engineering, the competition here can be overwhelming. 2. Dubai is expensive—without proper financial planning, the cost of living might be a shock. 3. Understand the job market demands—tech stacks and roles vary, and employers expect specialized skills. 4. Networking is key! If you don’t have local connections or referrals, job hunting can take much longer. 5. Be prepared for stiff competition from global talent and niche specialists. 6. The hiring process here can be slow and unpredictable—instant job offers are rare. 7. Don’t overlook the visa and sponsorship requirements that affect your job prospects. 8. Salaries may not cover all living costs as easily as you think, especially with rent and lifestyle expenses. 9. Long hours and six-day work weeks are common in some sectors, so prepare for a different work-life balance. 10. Lastly, the UAE is a melting pot of cultures—adaptability is essential! Thinking of relocating? Make sure to plan ahead, understand the market, and set realistic expectations. #DubaiJobs #TechInUAE #CareerAdvice #SoftwareEngineering #RelocationTips #JobMarket

Dubai is a city of gold, where things are big and bold! The Dubai market for Finance professionals is a gamble at times. One experienced CA may get an offer of Dh 7,000, while another with the same experience might be offered Dh 15,000. WHY? 📌 Most of the finance professionals are eager to come to Dubai irrespective of what their pay 📌 People believe whatever they are being paid is better than what they are earning in their home country 📌 They feel once they are in Dubai, they can change jobs and earn a fortune 📌 Unfortunately, some firms take undue advantage of CAs and then dont let them leave, dont cancel their visa, have unnecessary deductions, etc. if you change the job. But most of these WOULDN'T BE TRUE. WHY? 📌 Recruiters look at the percentage hike they are offering, and when your base salary is small, the increment also doesn't take you high. Imagine for a salary of Dh 7,000, a 30% increment would be 9,100. To reach Dh 15,000, you need a 115% hike, which 99% of the recruiters won't accept. 📌 You might keep changing jobs in the pursuit of a decent salary and you might end up realizing after a few years that your career has taken a hit while you changed roles for a better salary. 📌 Changing jobs without proper justification would look bad and you might not get opportunities from good companies. Whatever actions you take have a positive and a negative impact on your career and life. So, think before you come to Dubai and it's very important that you speak to people who are working in Finance profile before actually coming to Dubai. WHOW‼️ SLEEPLESS NIGHTS‼️ 🕰️ Time check 07:00 It’s official. My very first 24 hours of no sleep in my entire life. Job search is seriously getting tougher and tougher everyday. Recap of my job search journey last week: Job applied: 70+ on LinkedIn alone Application viewed: 11 Resume downloaded: 4 Initial phone interview: 3 Rejection: 1 Ghost: 2 Being with an inborn optimistic heart, I feel glad of at least getting 3 calls in a week. Cause for sure, not all job seekers now are getting calls in a week. But what puts my positivity down, when I get calls from liabilities and bills who thinks I am lying when I say I don’t have enough funds to pay. Never my choice to be laid off, and wasn’t my choice for the price hike of consumables that my remaining funds just vanished like that. This is getting harder and harder by hour. 24 hours isn’t enough for employment search. #officemanagementprofessional #administrativeprofessional #EA #PA #secretary #receptionist #hireme #employmentsearch #opentowork #opentogrow #openttoconnect #abudhabi #dubai #UAE
