We were thrilled to partner with the California Department of Aging on its CA for ALL Ages & Abilities – Day of Action, highlighting the progress and opportunity in advancing the state’s #MasterPlanForAging. Our team was on the ground to coordinate media, including exclusive interviews with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra and people with lived experience managing aging and health equity issues. #CA4ALL #MPA2024 #AgingEquity

As a member of California Forward’s Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC), I am honored to have participated in the 2024 California Economic Summit with my #TeamLPA colleague and former YLAC member Mark Borges. Here are my takeaways: 🌱Public & Private Sector Alignment Key to the Energy Transformation: A successful, equitable energy transition will require an unprecedented level of sustained investment and massive workforce overhaul. Getting there means breaking down silos between and within public and private sectors, streamlining administrative obstacles and better aligning public funding sources to enable more private co-investment. 🤝A Regions-Up Approach Works: Collaboration and action at the local level is responsive to on-the-ground conditions, and broad enough to engage a critical mass of stakeholders. 🧠California Continues to Lead: The Summit was a welcome reminder about all California gets right: we have the best system of public higher education in the world, a deep, diverse and highly innovative population, and an entrepreneurial willingness to tackle our toughest challenges that – I think – overcomes the forces of complacency and inertia more often than not.
Team LPA had an amazing time at Saint John’s Party for Change, an inspiring evening recognizing the tireless efforts of Saint John’s clients, staff and supporters who help the organization fulfill its mission to end the generational cycle of poverty among women and children. Shoutout to #TeamLPA VP Daisy Castellon for her leadership as a Saint John’s board member. #PartyForChange2024
Summer session may be over but 2025 strategic planning is heating up. 🌡 #TeamLPA's Cassandra Walker Pye and Katherine Lynch attended Platinum Advisors, LLC's 2024 Client Retreat, where Cassandra and California Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Barrera shared insights with corporate leaders on how to navigate the upcoming opportunities and challenges of CA's fast-changing political, business and regulatory landscape.
This past weekend, #TeamLPA participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's alongside the California Department of Aging and hundreds of others dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, care and support. Last week, #TeamLPA's Connor and Kristie joined #CA AAPI business, government and community leaders at the inaugural AAPI Statewide Policy Summit hosted by the California Commission on Asian & Pacific Islander American Affairs, the Asian American and Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus and California State University-Sacramento. With the goal of building a more inclusive, equitable #CaliforniaForAll, conversations centered on AAPI civic engagement, representation and empowerment and explored how data can drive advocacy, combat mis- and disinformation and engage hard-to-reach communities on elections, legislation, public health and more.

Nearly 70 community, government and business leaders gathered in Santa Cruz to begin their 10-month journey as part of Leadership San Francisco’s 2025 class. Executive Vice President Travis Taylor, an alumnus, served as a facilitator for their opening retreat this past weekend to help support the next wave of community leadership in SF.
