#TeamLPA member Mark Borges was chosen as one of two delegates from California to attend the Western Governors’ Leadership Institute. We support his commitment to leadership development and issues affecting the West.
Thank you, Western Governors' Foundation, for hosting such a successful Western Governors’ Leadership Institute. The foundation selects delegates from states across the west to listen and learn from current and former governors, in addition to senior leaders within governments, industry and non-profits. Delegates also attend the Western Governors' Association annual meeting and have the chance to listen to governors discuss common issues like water scarcity, land use policy, and disaster preparedness. I am honored to have represented California alongside Scott Carlson. The organization’s intentional focus on bipartisan solutions feels rare in today’s hyper polarized world, but I am energized by the hard working Western Governors’ staff that are finding policy solutions on common ground.
