I have always enjoyed buying cars, but my recent experience purchasing a Tesla made me rethink the entire process and how I can apply those lessons to my recruiting career. Traditionally, buying a car has felt like a bit of a game that I considered myself quite good at. However, Tesla's approach was a game-changer. With Tesla, everything is done through their app. Simple, easy-to-follow tasks are delivered to the app when action is required, and if you have questions, an assistant is available through chat to provide support. After showing interest, there are no harassing emails, texts, or phone calls. They know their brand and don't chase—but when you need them, they're there, ready to help. The entire process was incredibly smooth and efficient, which has inspired me to reevaluate how I deal with clients in my recruiting work. Like Tesla, I want to make my clients' onboarding experience seamless. By providing clear next steps, being available when needed, and respecting their time, I hope to deliver an experience that leaves a lasting positive impression!

Due to the recent string of layoffs and restructurings, after nearly 7 years at Tesla, my time has come to an end. I would like to profoundly thank the hundreds of Tesla employees over the years that have inspired and guided me throughout my career. Your tenacity to push against what seemed like impossible odds is what allowed Tesla to grow into one of the most successful car (energy/solar/AI/robotics??) companies in the world. I will never forget the launch of Model 3 in 2018 and all the sleepless nights we endured making sure our customers were overjoyed with their new car and that service was able to support in fixing any and all concerns. It’s unfortunate to see so many incredible colleagues unexpectedly let go knowing the blood, sweat, and tears (and I mean literal tears 😭) that went into making this company what it is today. All in all, I’m endlessly thankful for what Tesla has given me and the experiences it allowed me. I’ve learned a lot about myself, EVs, automotive sales and service, the world around me, and what I do and do not want to experience in my job. I absolutely love Tesla and its products. I fervently believe in the mission of transitioning the world to sustainable energy and will sing the praises of my Model 3 (I literally can’t imagine driving anything but an EV anymore).
