'How did you get into recruitment?' 🤔 ...'I fell into it' Such a classic. Unfortunately, getting into recruitment is rarely an active choice for a lot of people. As you'll see in my LinkedIn title, this is something I want to work towards changing 👊 Recruitment is HARD. I think more and more people are starting to be honest about this, which is great. It truly is a rollercoaster 🎢; the highs are high, and the lows are low. It's a career that will put you through your paces and requires determination, resilience, and sacrifice... ... but if you're willing to give it your all, recruitment is an AMAZING career opportunity 💪 Here's why: 💥 It's meritocratic when it comes to career progression. You don't need to wait for the person above you to be promoted or leave; if you hit what you need to hit, you'll be promoted 💥 It's one of the highest-paying careers out there. It won't come easy, but you can financially change your life in this industry 💥 It'll teach you to sell. Having the ability to sell and do it well is one of the most in-demand skills out there, and will allow you to always make money whatever you do 💥 It's an industry where you'll make friends for life. It's a real community and you'll get the chance to meet like-minded individuals and build amazing relationships 💥 It allows you to build an incredible professional network too. You know what they say; 'your network is your net worth' Interested? Let's speak. Foxtek is hiring for our November and January inductions 💪 #recruitment #careeropportunities #hiring

This morning I've woken up in the Lake District. You know what that means? Yep. She's OOO...climbing mountains...in the rain. Try not to be jealous 🙃 I'll be returning on Monday 14th October. Until then, please contact the lovely Clare in my stead (thank you in advance Clare 😉). If you desperately need to get in touch with me, I can be reached by waiting until I get back. In the meantime, the scores are as follows... Scafell Pike 1, Lucy nil. Just kidding. You won't catch me anywhere near that thing. I know my wheelhouse 🛞 #outofoffice #timeoff #lakedistrict

Does the smiley face emoji have anyone else in a chokehold? I 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 can't bring myself to send a message or email without adding a little 🙂 at the end. I always feel like without it, I sound rude? Is it just me? What's everyone's emoji of choice at work? I need to switch it up. Comment down below 👇

*insert intriguing statement that will make people click ...more* Sorry all... it's Thursday. Anyway... At Snap Analytics, we hire talented people from across the UK, so every quarter we all gather in our Bristol Runway East | B Corp Serviced Offices HQ to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and get a general company update 🤗 Being with everyone has just solidified what I already knew; the Snap culture is 'ten ten'. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and the vibe in the full office today is just fab! 👌 I've used the limited free seats as an opportunity to come down and do some work in the co-working space, which is also 'ten ten'. Sending my thanks to the sun for coming out today, so I could get my obligatory photo of my laptop in front of the aesthetic backdrop 🌞 As well as meeting everyone, today is the day me and the newbies get our official Snap profile picture in front of the harbour. P.S. It's hair wash day for me tomorrow, so the results of said photoshoot could be humbling 🙃 #companyculture #quarterlymeeting #runwayeast

A question I love answering when I'm interviewing... "Why did YOU join Snap Analytics?" 💜 One of my favourite parts of being in Talent Acquisition is being able to talk about a company you're passionate and excited about. My answer to this questions is this: I joined because of... 📈 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 - Snap has seen over 200% growth in the last 2 years and isn't stopping, so the opportunities to develop and progress here are amazing. Everyone has their own dedicated development coach, a clear runway to their next promotion, and the training and support to get them there. 🤗 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - Snap treats people with respect. People here don't have an ego, and they bring energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to the workplace. From day one, people feel that their voice matters, and everyone is given an amazing level of trust and responsibility, regardless of their job title. ⚙️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Snap is agile, and works with the most progressive technology and the best data consultants in the industry (if we do say so ourselves 😉). The company is always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in data analytics and is laser focused on staying ahead of the curve. So, I'd now like to pose the question to my fellow Snappers... Why did YOU join❓ Anyone else out there that is looking for a company with the above things, and more, send me a message! ✉️

𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭… 😊 Candidate: "I've recently completed a free, 2 week LinkedIn course on a topic vaguely related to the role you're hiring for" Hiring Manager: "Perfect! When can you start?" 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰… 😒 Candidate: "I have a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, and 5 years of professional experience in the exact role you're hiring for" Hiring Manager: "Sorry, you're not qualified enough" The job market is TOUGH right now, but don't lose hope! A tip on how to stand out from the crowd❓ Incorporate a video introduction into your application! Here are a few key benefits of doing this 👇 🎥 Creates a memorable first impression Recruiters and hiring managers often have to wade through 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘴 of resumes, so standing out can be hard. A video introduction breaks the mold and leaves a lasting impact, making you more likely to be remembered 👊 🎥 Shows commitment and initiative By going the extra mile with a video introduction, you're showing that you're truly interested in the role and willing to put in the effort - qualities employers love 💖 🎥 Showcases your personality A resume tells the 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵, but a video shows the 𝘸𝘩𝘰. It will give hiring managers a sense of your communication style, enthusiasm, and personality before even meeting you 🌟 So, give it a try! I'd love to hear if any of my network has had any success with video introductions, whether that be when applying for a job or anything else! 🤔 P.S. my favourite platforms to do this are Vidyard and Loom #jobsearchtips #careeradvice #jobmarket

🚀 Generative AI + Business Intelligence: The Game-Changer for 2024! 🚀 I'm coming to the end of my 4th week at Snap Analytics and I've learned A LOT. This is my first time recruiting within Data, so have been doing a lot of reading on the space to get up to speed 👩💻 An exciting development I've come across is the convergence of Generative AI and Business Intelligence; a trend that's reshaping how businesses access and analyse data. With Generative AI, companies are able to interact with their data in a more conversational way, helping to break down the barriers between technical and non-technical users 🚧 At Snap, we see these innovations transforming how our clients are able to approach data-driven decision-making, enabling faster, more accurate insights. I'd love to hear my networks thoughts on this. How do you guys see Generative AI impacting businesses? 🤔 Feel free to share your ideas in the comments below! #DataAnalytics #AI #BI

So, smoothies are as bad for you as cake 🙄 Don't shoot the messenger, but I was listening to Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast this morning, and Jessie Inchauspé (aka the Glucose Goddess) drops an absolute bomb on me 💣 Apparently, our bodies can't differentiate between the sugar in a fruit smoothie and the sugar in a chocolate cake. So, you're telling me that when I make myself a smoothie for breakfast (as the pillar of health that I am), that it might as well come with frosting? 🍰 Tough one to take on a Tuesday morning. Anyway, in other news, Snap Analytics is hiring! Check out our open roles below (see full job descriptions in the comments) 👇 𝗔𝗜/𝗠𝗟 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 🧑💻 2-5 years experience 📍 Hybrid (Bristol Office) 💰 £50,000 - £75,000 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 🧑💻 2+ years experience 📍 Hybrid (Bristol Office) 💰 £35,000 - £50,000 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 🧑💻 5+ years experience 📍 Hybrid (Bristol Office) 💰 £50,000 - £75,000

Big Data LDN was a hoot 🦉 🤝 I got to meet some great people interested in joining Snap Analytics. Looking forward to speaking with you all further in the coming days! 🎉 Saw two brilliant clients of ours give talks about our joint success. 🏁 The F1 Scalextric track was a fan favourite with our lucky winner awarded the 1600 piece Lego F1 car! We'll have another winner today too! ❤️🩹 Attended a really inspiring talk about the power of data in tackling women's health. I headed back to Bristol this morning on the 7 am train from Paddington (ouch... I know 😴), but our fabulous Head of People, Clare Evans, will be at the stand today. So, if you're looking for a new opportunity or just want to learn more about life at Snap, head over to booth X651. #DataDriven #BigDataLDN #Wearehiring
