Aviation is a growing industry. There are constantly lots of planes in the air 24/7. Some people are worried about the sustainability and emission levels through airplanes. Professionals are coming up with ideas to help with these concerns. They are pushing for 'The Net-Zero Challenge' which is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2025. New technological advancements are making this goal seem possible. This includes improvements in aircraft engineering, more sustainable fuel, and even using AI to help operations. Even though I intern in general aviation, this is the future and we need to know of the advancements and new opportunities. #nebointerns #nebo #cteinternships #cteintern #internships #MMHS #mmhsintern #aviation #engineering Christine Thomas Nebo School District CTE Internships

We all want to foster a more inclusive and sustainable aviation ecosystem. Last Friday, I had the opportunity to contribute tangibly. Thanks to the collaborative effort of Fondation ENAC, ENAC, ATR and two vocational high schools in Toulouse (Roland Garros and Eugène Montel), we have kickstarted the ProPulse project. Over the next three years, four students a year – two from each high school – will be supported by both ATR professionals and ENAC students, who will guide them through their educational journey, with the aim to nurture a new generation of aviation enthusiasts and skilled professionals. Through this mentorship programme, the high schoolers will be able to gain insights into the diverse careers that exist in our industry, enhance their technical skills, and develop the essential ‘soft’ skills for their integration into the corporate world. As a responsible business, ATR takes its social role to heart, and ProPulse is another way for us to create vital links between communities, bridge gaps, have a positive impact on our society, and contribute to breaking down barriers and obstacles, both visible and invisible. I want to warmly thank all the actors who have contributed over the last months to make ProPulse a reality. If you’re curious to know more: https://lnkd.in/ep4Ywj4x Here’s to a future full of possibilities for the young generations!

𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲! 💪 For two days, we're hosting a group of students on a mission: to develop scientifically grounded 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗻 "𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 / 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻". This project, coordinated by Technische Universität München, Airbus, Munich Airport International and #BauhausLuftfahrt, has also enlisted experts from Lufthansa, Diehl Aviation and the Bavarian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Over the course of 3 workshops, these students dive deep into the project, culminating in a presentation of their scenarios to industry and academic professionals, as part of their study. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: 🔹 How will door-to-door air travel evolve for passengers with disabilities / accessibility needs in the next 10-15 years? 🔹 What regulatory changes can be expected to enhance the travel experience (globally or regionally) of persons with reduced mobility (PRM)? 🔹 How will public interest and expectations influence regulation, airlines, media, and more? 🔹 To what extent will airlines adapt their sustainability and accessibility strategies? 🔹 What roles will investors, media, and PRM organizations play? 🔹 How can products and services along the travel process better serve the needs of PRM groups, compared to other industries like hotels and cruises? 🔹 What impact will commercial factors have on airlines' offerings for passengers with disabilities and other accessibility needs (efficiency, costs, revenue options, branding, loyalty)? We're eagerly anticipating the results this summer! Stay tuned for updates. #InnovationInAviation #InclusiveTravel

Ready, set, go – Linköping, lead the way globally 💥 Today, we launch a very exciting project together with Camilla Lejon and Eva Lundh and their fantastic colleagues in #Linköping – with the aim to engage travellers and make them aware of how to travel with less climate impact! 💡 Last year we did a survey with the research institute Novus where around 53 % of the Swedes said they are ready to pay extra for a more sustainable travel. But the majority of them also said that they don’t as they don’t know how to. This needs to change me, and my team thought ! Why we among others shaped this project, now being executed in the excellent lead of our fantastic management trainee Puck van den Berk 💪 together with the Linköping team. 👉 So, from today everyone travelling from Linköping rest assured that when leaving from Linköping you will have all the knowledge needed. And if we / the planet 🌍 is lucky you will also have contributed to further reduce the emissions from flying 😊 And for everyone not flying from Linköping, don’t be sad, you can also reduce emissions when flying with us anywhere in the world. The most impactful thing a traveller can do is to add sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as it can reduce the emissions as much as up to 80 percent. At #Air France and #KLM we have already added 1 % SAF to get you started, and you can top up with 25, 50 or 100 percent yourself. And already at the lowest level you push things forward greatly as the current SAF volume globally is only around 0,1 % in total (all airlines)! So, now Linköping show the world it is possible to do way better than that 🙏 🙌 #SAF #sustainability #reduceemissionsfromflying Note - SAF is one of the key contributors in reducing emissions from flying, now and in the future, even when electric- and hydrogen aircrafts will enter the skies some years from now. One of the great things with SAF is that it can be used in existing aircrafts and fuel systems. At Air France and KLM, we see SAF as key and for two years in a row we have been the biggest user of SAF globally and we use around 16 - 17 % of all the SAF globally.
