Strategically positioned on the Arabian Sea, Gwadar port holds a key advantage, serving as a vital trade link between China, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Its development into a deep-sea facility not only boosts its trade capabilities but also fosters large-scale connectivity. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a $62 billion endeavor, plays a pivotal role in positioning Gwadar as the next commercial powerhouse akin to Dubai. By investing in infrastructure, energy, and development projects, the CPEC aims to spur economic growth in Pakistan and establish Gwadar as a bustling commercial center. This comprehensive initiative involves the construction of roads, railways, airports, and power plants, all of which promise to stimulate the local economy and create employment opportunities. Furthermore, Gwadar's pristine coastline and scenic beauty present an attractive proposition for tourism development. Building hotels, resorts, and recreational facilities has the potential to attract global tourists, thereby boosting income for the region and providing jobs for local residents. Moreover, a flourishing tourism sector can help showcase the region's cultural heritage and enhance its international reputation. #clickmepakistan #GwadarPort #TradeGateway #CPEC #InfrastructureDevelopment #EconomicHub

#Morocco to build 1,300-km high-speed rail line by 2040 Morocco, the only #African country with a high-speed train line, has announced a plan to build 1,300 km of high-speed rail lines by 2040. Since 2018, the Moroccan high-speed train (TGV) has linked #Tangiers to #Casablanca in almost two hours, considerably reducing the five-hour journey time. The plan calls for the #construction of 1,300 km of new high-speed lines and 3,800 km of additional #rail lines, linking 43 cities instead of the current 23. The authorities estimate that 87% of the national population, compared with 51% today, will benefit from this modernised network. In addition, 12 ports and 15 international #airports will be served, compared with 6 and 1 respectively at present. https://lnkd.in/dYgCYRMk

AFRICA'S LARGEST AIRPORT Ethiopian Airlines Group has signed a contract with Dar Al-Handasah subsidiary of consulting and architecture firm Sidara for the design of the mega airport planned to be built in the town of Bishoftu, about 42 kilometres from Addis Ababa. The airport complex, which will require an investment of approximately USD 6 billion, will be the largest airport in Africa with a capacity of 100 million passengers per year. The facilities will be developed over 35 km² and will include, among other things, 4 runways, parking for 270 aircraft, commercial and hotel infrastructure. 📍📍📍 Comment: This airport to be built in Addis Ababa will compete in particular with the Arab-owned airport being built in Rwanda, which is scheduled to be operational in 2028. This new airport in Ethiopia will be a show of strength for the African continent against Chinese, US and European capital.

It’s been widely reported that the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) lease deal between the Kenyan government and India’s Adani Group is getting a lot of flak. The deal would have allowed Adani to finance JKIA renovations with $1.85 billion and run the airport for 30 years, starting in November. But the chances of the deal going through could become bleaker after a feasibility report commissioned by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) showed a cheaper option for upgrading the airport. However, the government ignored this and hurriedly gave the contract to Adani 17 days after a proposal came in on March 1, without allowing other companies to bid. That leaves one question: was this a case of favouritism by the government for Adani? Click the link to get all the details 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWARNnif

High-Speed Railway Network Between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to Launch by 2026 The eagerly awaited railway link between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia is set to transform regional travel, with completion targeted for 2028. This ambitious project, approved by the Project Management Committee of both countries, is designed to enhance connectivity and boost economic ties. The railway will stretch from Al Shaddadiya in Kuwait to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital, covering approximately 500 kilometers. The project will unfold in three phases: initial studies and route analysis, a year-long design phase, and a three-year execution phase. The high-speed train is expected to carry 3,300 passengers daily, making six round trips. It promises a swift travel time of one hour and 40 minutes, providing a competitive alternative to air and road travel. Ticket prices will be set affordably to compete effectively with other modes of transport. This development, estimated to cost US$250 billion, aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader goals of advancing its transportation infrastructure and enhancing regional connectivity. The railway project is distinct from the Gulf Cooperation Council's broader rail initiatives, which aim to link all six GCC member states. By 2028, the Riyadh to Kuwait City high-speed rail link will not only ease travel between the two nations but also foster greater economic and cultural exchanges, reinforcing the close diplomatic relations shared by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Do you think this rail will boost the saudi tourism ? #SaudiKuwaitRailway #HighSpeedTrain #MiddleEastTransport #RailwayProject #GulfConnectivity #SaudiVision2030 #KuwaitTransport #myspaceconsulting #bahrain #InfrastructureDevelopment #TravelInnovation #FutureOfTravel #VisitSaudi #SaudiTourism #ExploreSaudi #TourismInSaudi #GCCRailNetwork

🚄🌍 Strong Vision for Public Transport in Saudi Arabia I was so excited to be back in Saudi Arabia this week and witnessed firsthand the remarkable progress the country is making towards a sustainable and diversified future. Undoubtedly, Saudi Arabia is poised to lead the global charge in the modal shift towards public transport in the coming years. The launch of the National Transport & Logistics Strategy (NTLS) marks a pivotal moment, aligning public transport projects with the overarching goals of the strategy. A key strategic objective is to boost the share of public transport in cities to 15% by 2030 – a significant leap towards sustainable urban mobility. In tandem with the rapid transformations driven by megaprojects like NEOM, the Red Sea, and Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia is laser-focused on elevating its transportation sector. The vision is crystal clear – a transition to a diversified, innovative, and world-leading economy perfectly aligned with the ambitious Vision 2030. 🏙️💡 The country is making substantial investments in sustainable mobility, with robust commitments to rail and metro projects, the introduction of innovative BRT lines, and a comprehensive overhaul of the taxi transport system. These strategic initiatives go beyond modernizing transportation; they are key components of a broader strategy aimed at shaping a resilient and sustainable future for Saudi Arabia. #TransportationRevolution #Vision2030 🚄🌍🌱
