Did you know that the 1st March is an important day? No, it's not Easter yet. Put those Creme Eggs away. 🐣 Although, it IS earlier than normal this year, yum. No, it's Employee Appreciation Day. Obviously, pretty important to highlight, but why wait for that one day to show your employees you care? We're grateful for our people every day! Ok, so we're not handing out trophies daily. Sometimes it doesn't have to be a major thing - simple 'thank you's' go a long way. We recognise what people do. For example, you might have seen on our iAM socials that for the last few months, we've been highlighting our team with 'In the Spotlight' posts. They make people feel good, and they come from the heart. It's a subtle, but fantastic way of recognising them. I've been told it boosts morale. ✨ In fairness, the people and talent we have here at iAM are incredible, so that makes it incredibly easy to thank them and genuinely mean it. Sometimes you see companies going through the motions in terms of staff recognition, but hear first-hand that things aren't necessarily like that. Anyway, spotlight posts aren't the only way we reward our team. There are other things like creating a fun and relaxed work culture, flexible hours, training and support so the team can reach their professional and personal goals and coaching sessions with external coaches every so often. They all add up, and I generally get good feedback. One of the most telling things, though, is that staff turnover is insanely low. When people start here, they tend to stay. That helps us share skills and experience and create great things together. 🙌🏻 Spend this Employee Appreciation Day rewarding your staff in some way or another, and they'll reward you right back. Incidentally, does anyone have any other ideas I can use to reward our team here at iAM? Anything fun, morale-boosting or tasty? Let me know below, please. 👇🏻 #thoughtleadership #recognition #ourpeople #behindthebrand #employeeappreciationday

Tomorrow is Employee Appreciation Day so stick a reminder in your diary so you don't forget to show your team some love 💝 But don't just show your appreciation tomorrow because social media tells you to. Here are some suggestions from Stress Matters' Founder Laura on how to show your team how thankful you are all year round... 🫂 I try to make sure everyone shows appreciation to each other rather than just me to them. 🙋 Our Because YOU matter moment - each team member votes on who they want to be recognised that month. 👍 I focus on creating a culture of trust and empathy. So everyone can take time off whenever they need and everyone is trusted to do their job with no micro-management ❤️️ Our Friday morning check-in meetings where we ask how everyone is doing on their to-do-list and if they need support generally becomes a bit of a team love-in as everyone builds each other up. 🎯 Monthly career conversations to focus on each team member's development so we recognise people's ambitions and challenges. 🤝 Encouragement to volunteer in work time for causes that are important to them. I know they're well-rounded people that can offer their skills in many different ways to different causes. What have you done recently to show your team you appreciate them? #employeeappreciationday #supportyourteam

"Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results." As we observe Employee Appreciation Day today, I find myself reflecting on the importance of trust in the workplace. In previous roles, trust was often a scarce commodity. I remember the constant feeling of uncertainty, the lack of transparency, and the struggle to feel genuinely valued. But stepping into my current role has been a game-changer. Here, trust isn't just a buzzword; it's the foundation of our culture. From day one, I've been embraced with open arms, empowered to take ownership of my work, and supported in ways I never thought possible. It's a stark contrast to the environments I've experienced in the past, and it's made all the difference. Feeling appreciated isn't just about receiving accolades or recognition (although those are nice too!). It's about knowing that your contributions matter, that your voice is heard, and that you're an integral part of something meaningful. To those who may be experiencing a lack of appreciation or trust in their current roles, know that there are places out there where your talents will be recognised and your contributions celebrated. Don't settle for anything less than you deserve. Here's to a day of gratitude, reflection, and the unwavering belief that when employees feel valued, incredible things happen. Happy Employee Appreciation Day! #EmployeeAppreciationDay #Gratitude #WorkplaceCulture #Trust

🙏 National Employee Appreciation Day 🙏 This day serves as a poignant reminder to managers about the fundamental role of robust employer-employee relations in developing genuine business success. Cultivating a strong rapport with your team is a cornerstone of effective management, and demonstrating appreciation for their contributions can significantly enhance employee morale and satisfaction. Simple acts of acknowledgment, such as recognising hard work with a sincere smile 😄, kind word or offering small gestures of gratitude 🎁, can have a profound impact on fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. At Pragmatic Consulting Ltd, we are fortunate to embody this culture, thanks to the leadership of our Managing Director, Jo Niblett. Jo's commendations, verbal recognitions, seasonal celebrations, and spontaneous gestures of kindness are regularly witnessed by our staff, creating a reciprocal exchange of appreciation between management and employees. This month, our company enjoyed a memorable outing, treated to a delightful sit-down meal followed by a captivating theatre performance at the Birmingham Hippodrome, where we experienced the amazing Edward Scissorhands. The collective gratitude felt by all staff underscore the significance of such gestures of appreciation. 🎭 😍 Thanks again Jo! ❓Are you a manager? How are you going to leverage Employee Appreciation Day as an opportunity to strengthen connections with your team members. Whether through heartfelt gestures, special events, or sincere expressions of gratitude, let's make this day a meaningful celebration of our employees' dedication and hard work. We look forward to hearing about your creative ways of appreciating your team members. #pragmaticconsulting #dreamteam #employeeappreciationday #thankyou

Folks, today isn't just another day on the calendar. It's a day dedicated to recognizing the heartbeat of any organization – your incredible employees. Now, I'm all about these national days that spotlight appreciation. But let's hit pause for a sec: Do we really need a designated Employee Appreciation Day? Shouldn't our team members feel the love and recognition every single day? I mean, think about it. At the end of every week, every one of your employees should walk out those doors knowing that your organization, leadership, and managers deeply value their hustle, dedication, and sacrifices. As leaders, it's on us to ensure your squad feels the appreciation vibes year-round. And hey, if you're already dishing out gratitude, why not sprinkle a bit more? (Trust me, nobody's ever complained about feeling appreciated a little extra!) It's the small gestures that pack the biggest punch. A simple "Thank you for your hard work this week." A genuine "Great job recently." Or a heartfelt "The team appreciates everything you've been doing." These little moments of acknowledgment can work wonders in boosting employee engagement. So, let's make it a habit to truly see your employees, ensuring they feel the love, appreciation, and gratitude each and every day. And hey, maybe today, on Employee Appreciation Day, let's turn up the dial on those good vibes even more! #EmployeeAppreciationDay #Gratitude #EmployeeEngagement

🎉 Happy Employee Appreciation Day! 🎉 While today marks a special occasion to officially recognize and celebrate our incredible team members, let's remember that appreciation shouldn't be confined to just one day of the year. Great managers understand that recognizing and valuing their employees is a daily practice that fuels a positive work environment and drives success. In the hustle and bustle of day-to-day operations, it's easy for managers to overlook the importance of expressing gratitude to their team members. Yet, studies consistently show that what truly matters to employees is feeling seen and appreciated by their direct managers. At Bench Accounting we believe in going beyond the typical gimmicks or elaborate campaigns. Instead, we focus on authentic, personalized, and inclusive appreciation that resonates with each individual on our team. Our managers understand the power of stopping to highlight the unique contributions of their employees, transforming good leadership into greatness. Today, our people leaders took various creative approaches to express appreciation with suggestions led by our wonderful People EX & Belonging Specialist, Celina Deosaran. From updating Zoom backgrounds with heartfelt messages to sending personal messages and public shoutouts, the warmth of appreciation flooded our Slack channels and reverberated across 600 Benchmates. As for me, well, I couldn't resist adding my twist by crafting a team gratitude rap. Don't worry; I haven't mustered the courage to perform it live just yet, but they should probably prepare for it! 😄 Managers, let's not wait for Employee Appreciation Day to show our gratitude. Let's seize every opportunity to uplift and celebrate our teams—it truly goes a long way. #EmployeeAppreciationDay #Gratitude #BenchCulture #TeamAppreciation #GreatManagers

💼 Calling all leaders! Employee Appreciation Day is fast approaching on Friday, March 1st, and it's the perfect opportunity to show your team how much their hard work is appreciated. Research consistently shows that when employees feel appreciated, their job satisfaction and productivity skyrocket. If you need some ideas on how to make the day special for your employees, here are three possibilities: 1️. One of my personal favorites - show appreciation by writing personalized thank you notes to employees, recognizing their specific contributions and expressing gratitude for their dedication. 2. Foster a sense of togetherness and appreciation by organizing a team celebration, such as a lunch, breakfast, or virtual get-together, where you can acknowledge your team's efforts. 3. Publicly acknowledge outstanding achievements through emails, social media posts, or mentions during team meetings, giving employees a shout-out to make them feel valued and motivated. What are memorable ways you celebrate your employees or have been appreciated by an employer? P.S. If you need note cards, treats, or other items to show your appreciation Friday, I know a team that can help! 😉 #EmployeeAppreciationDay #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeAppreciation

It’s EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY! 📌Appreciation is often used interchangeably with the word recognition, but there is a big difference between both words. Recognition is about giving positive feedback based on results or performance. Appreciation, on the other hand, is about acknowledging a person’s inherent value. The point isn’t their accomplishments. It’s their worth as a colleague and a human being. ⭐In simple terms, recognition is about what people do; appreciation is about who they are. ➡️ 3 ways to make others feel appreciated: 1. Tell people what you value about them: Doing this proactively (not because someone did something great or because you want something from them), can positively affect how your colleagues feel about themselves. 2. Check in with the people you work with: Asking how they’re doing (and meaning it) and what they’re challenged by right now can show them that you care. 3. Make it meaningful and specific: There is a big difference between saying "thank you" & sitting down with someone to describe the things you value about their work and its positive effect on the team. So, take the opportunity to go appreciate someone today 💫 #wellbeing #TeamAppreciation #worklife
