I've had a very particular onboarding at Trezy. There aren't any perfect options, but here are my thoughts 👇 I had done freelance for months at Trezy, so obviously the one I've got at Trezy was well executed, I've just asked what I was lacking to continue with the job and Quentin Lacointa and Luke Johnson gave it to me, perfect. But what if you don't have that? Here are some stuff I'd include 👇 - Onboarding with the founders. You need to understand what the original problem they faced was, why it all started, how they managed to get where they are now, and where they want to go now. - Onboarding with the person who's going to be responsible for you. You need to get a grasp of what your department's goals are, and how are you going to help them. Also, what are the metrics that you're responsible for? What's a good goal for your first 6 months, what's an even better one than that? - A full demo of the product. As well are what's the most used featured, what are the clients asking in support calls, sales calls, etc. - A deep dive into the core users/clients. Does your company gather main learnings about who you're dealing with? Have they done the JTBD framework or some kind of persona canvas? - Set up meetings with whomever you think could be important to talk to in the company. If it's less than a 10-employee startup, try to talk to everyone in the first month. - Set up a daily with your direct manager the first week, weekly after that.
