Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and unique perspectives of people with disabilities. Visible disabilities, such as physical impairments or mobility challenges, may be more apparent to others; however, we also acknowledge the importance of understanding and supporting those with invisible disabilities, such as chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, or neurodiversity. We are proud to support all forms of disabilities, challenge misconceptions, and collaborate with our partners to build a health care system that is inclusive and accessible to all. #disabilitypridemonth #inclusion #accesstocare

Professional Speaker (Invisible Disabilites In the Workplace. Strategic Storytelling) | Speaker Mentor | Author of "Thriving in the Age of Chronic Illness and Invisible Disability"
July is Disability Pride Month. Disability is the one marginalized group that most people will belong to at some point in their lives. Yet, despite its ubiquity, we still treat disability issues as something at the fringes of society. In fact, there are many people who still don't understand that disability goes far beyond someone using an assistive device (cane, walker, wheelchair), and includes areas of invisible disability such as mental illness, chronic health conditions, and neurodivergent traits. Disability is not a one-size-fits-all topic, and that's why those of us at Inclusion Speakers dot com deal with a myriad of topics from mental health and neurodiversity to invisible disabilities, psychological safety, accessibility, and intersectionality. I'm proud to be a part of this amazing group. The world of disability has allowed me to connect with people like these who combine lived experience with expertise, humanity, and a wonderful talent for communicating disability issues to the corporate world and beyond. #DisabilityInclusion #HR #DisabilityPride #ProfessionalSpeakers #AssociationManagement

June is Disability Pride Month! This is a time to celebrate the incredible diversity of the disability community and advocate for a world where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive. Why celebrate? People with disabilities face unique challenges in all aspects of life, including mental health. Embracing neurodiversity is crucial for creating a more inclusive and understanding environment. Here's how you can be an ally: 📚 Educate yourself: Learn about different disabilities and the challenges people with disabilities face. 💛 Practice empathy: Consider how everyday environments might create barriers for someone with a disability. How can you be more mindful in your interactions? 📢 Be an advocate: Speak out against discrimination and promote inclusive practices in your community. Disability is a vibrant part of human diversity. This month, let's celebrate the strength, resilience, and incredible talents of the disability community. #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityPride #Neurodiversity #AccessibilityForAll #InclusiveMentalHealth #DisabilityIsDiversity #WATherapist #MentalHealth #Olympia #Tacoma
