Honest question. Why do simulations take SO long (except for 2D ones like FEMM)? Can't they use GPU processing to break up the problem set to speed them up? If not, how about an ASIC card to perform specific calculations quickly in parallel compared to general purpose CPUs? Waiting more than a minute for a basic mesh and simulation to complete on a simple device seems unreasonable.
