Here's a thought-provoking article on Redemption Seminary's place in the history of theological education, written by our President John Schwandt for Logos. If you've thought about pursuing a master's degree in biblical studies, here are three reasons to consider Redemption Seminary: (1) Using a competency-based approach means you can learn at a pace that fits your time and budget. (2) Thorough use of Logos software—including Mobile Ed courseware—means you learn to use the best in Bible study technology as you grow in the light of Scripture. (3) One-to-one mentorship with Redemption professors means you get to "know and be known" as you personally meet with your faculty to talk about what you're learning. If you'd like to talk more about how we can serve you as you serve Christ, message me!

🏛 Pillar 2: Enriching Transdisciplinary Curriculum 🏛 🌱 HOW DO WE CLOSE THE GAP BETWEEN WHAT IS TAUGHT IN SCHOOL AND THE DEMANDS OF A FAST CHANGING ENVIRONMENTALLY-CHALLENGED TECH-DRIVEN WORLD? 🌱 We are creating an enriching transdisciplinary curriculum enabling a combination of mastery in subject disciplines and an enquiry-led curriculum. This pairing offers hands-on, meaningful experiences that build essential 21st-century skills and also directly link to GCSE content. In addition, a "Theory of Knowledge" program will help students critically engage with information, vital in today’s digital age. In the UK, we teach the national curriculum so students pass exams and move to the next phase of education. However, this system limits what and how teachers can teach and doesn’t allow for the development of essential skills, nor does it include understanding around sustainability or tech/AI. At Thrive Now, we’re developing a more effective model. Our curriculum focuses on five core GCSEs—ensuring mastery in literacy, maths, sciences and technology—delivered both in school and online by experts. These qualifications remain essential for progression but we do not stop there. Our enriching transdisciplinary curriculum is designed to ground theory in practice in relatable, motivating and transformative ways. Students can pursue personalised learning paths with extra qualifications, aligning education with real-world demands. 🍁 To support well-being, weekly Forest School sessions will nurture environmental awareness. 💪 Community connections will provide real-world work placements and volunteering opportunities, fostering social responsibility. ⚽ Local partnerships will also enable participation in team sports. ⭐ We are developing open access to Pillar 2: Enriching Transdisciplinary Curriculum by laying down a route map, so that anyone wishing to set something similar up in their own community can, while being supported in the process. 📩 If you would like to be part of this developing roadmap please connect by signing up to our Substack and following our journey on Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/e9jtWB4N #ProgressiveEducation #FutureofEducation #ThriveNow #InclusiveEducation #TransdisciplinaryCurriculum #FourPillarsEducation
