Over the years, #BluePeakConstructions have completed a number of LATM type projects for the Frankston City Council. Each project scope varied, however the works for this particular project included three separate raised intersection treatments and three watts profile speed humps, all constructed in asphalt. To achieve these successfully, our team reconstructed the kerb, installed drainage, a concrete footpath and crossovers, then to finish up, linemarking and signage. The goal, to improve the local infrastructure and make the roads safer. Traversing the mighty Waikato, the Waikato River Bridge is not only an engineering marvel in its own right but also an ecologically sensitive design that is responsive to the surrounding environment. A collaboration between HEB Construction , Hamilton City Council and the New Zealand Government, the bridge and surrounding transport network will serve as a key connection into Peacocke from Hillcrest and the eastern suburbs. The four lane bridge, including dedicated bus lanes, spans 96m over the Waikato River and 180m in total length. Demolition of the multi-storey car park in Fareham city centre, for Fareham Borough Council, has required extensive planning to ensure the safe decommissioning of the building. Commissioned by our client Neilcott Construction Limited, we are working in collaboration with all stakeholders reducing risk and minimising disruption in the immediate area, reducing noise and dust by applying several dismantling methodologies. Sustainability Deploying our crushing equipment enables 100% of the concrete and metal to be recycled. Crushing concrete on-site reduces vehicle movements and is enabling crushed materials to be repurposed into aggregates for land stability on the site with excess materials going to other site stabilisation projects.   Dust Suppression Utilising a wide area dust suppression cannon on the ground and a Komatsu PC390 high reach excavator with built-in dust suppression on the pulveriser arm, dust is minimised at source and contained within the outer wall structure.   Safety & Risk Mitigation HWM are implementing a ring-fenced controlled approach using the external structure to contain the demolition. This reduces noise and dust leaving the site by demolishing the structure from the inside out in a horseshoe pattern.
