A groundbreaking event this afternoon kicked off the future expansion of Lutheran Health Physicians (LHP) 52nd medical office serving Allen County and northeast Indiana. LHP is the medical group of Lutheran Health Network (LHN). LHN representatives, community leaders, project architect and developers gathered at 1215 Healthcare Place off of Illinois Road to turn ceremonial shovels of dirt – marking where the new 15,700 square foot facility is expected to open in spring 2025.

If your mission-critical storage lacks integrated ransomware protection, what are you doing? And if it does have this protection but you’re not utilizing it or actively planning to implement it, brace yourself for a harsh reality. Imagine being a patient on the worst day of your life, only to find out the ambulance is taking you to a hospital with no access to your medical records, no diagnostics and staff relying solely on pen and paper. Ascension recently achieved a $1.8 billion turnaround in 12 months following a $3 billion loss in 2023, showing signs of recovery. However, it's challenging to bounce back from an estimated $1.6 billion unexpected loss due to a single ransomware event in one quarter (Forbes, 5/8/24). #ransomware #cybersecurity #breach #acquisition #healthcare #ascension #uab #EPIC #EMR #EHR
We are excited to announce that the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved an agreement for the UAB Health System Authority to assume ownership of Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System’s care sites in Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity to combine and optimize our collective strengths. Together we will sustain patients’ access to the highest quality care and give them access to a larger network at a time when other hospitals are closing. For more information, visit uabstv.org.

What a great approach to sustainable care which will undoubtedly enhance healthcare access by integrating efficient, eco-friendly practices and technologies, reducing costs, and improving care delivery. This approach should ensure long-term health system viability, making quality care more accessible. We witnessed this in metro Atlanta several years back with similar merger’s.

Thrilled to share that we are presenting at this year's Reimagining Primary Care Forum on April 23 in Cambridge, MA. We're seeing behavioral health needs higher than ever before. And that burden? It is felt first in primary care. That gets at the very reason we need to "reimagine" primary care - and it is what behavioral health integration is designed to solve. Join us* as we unpack that and explore how the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) bridges the gap between data and action. ➡ https://lnkd.in/eJgGTaDQ #ReimaginingPrimaryCare #RPCForum #PrimaryCare #CoCM *Register using code "Mirah10" for 10% off.

It’s one thing to continue the status quo because you know it saves lives. It’s an entirely different thing to identify, isolate, and demolish barriers to challenge the status quo in order to save even more lives. NMDP does this year after year, and I can’t wait to hear what comes out of this workshop!

Community economic vitality + Entrepreneurial ecosystem building + Education & mentorship + Planning & management
A good overview of where things stand on redevelopment of the former StorageTek site.
Last night, the largest employer in Louisville, Colorado, implored City Council to approve the Redtail Ridge proposal, enabling Avista Hospital to move into a new, state-of-the-art facility capable of serving 300,000+ more people in a 17-minute drive time. Hospital officials made clear that their future in Louisville is in doubt without Council's approval.

@erik-anderson-601a8591/, Patient Care Executive at Adventist Health, says from the moment he joined the organization he knew it felt different. He said he felt the sense of Aloha. Treating patients and employees like Ohana - or family - is in their DNA. Erik told us that like with any family, there needs to be trust, transparency, and sometimes even tough love for accountability, which is a two-way street. The team at Adventist Health Castle listens to the community and deeply values that feedback when choosing how to best serve their patients and teams. Their holistic approach includes community-centered events like Christmas tree lightings, speaking to students, and other ways that encourage the community to become a partner in their healthcare. Their commitment to clinical excellence combined with their “Love Matters” campaign lead them to a Baldrige Award win in 2017. To hear more about this remarkable organization, and learn more about how they teach empathy, value vulnerability, and “measure what they treasure”, check out the full interview with Erik: https://lnkd.in/eJe7qwmM Learn more about Adventist Health Castle: https://lnkd.in/e4FzbHVB Topical time codes: 00:43 - Feeling the Aloha 1:51 - Culture within the organization, Ohana 3:55 - Teaching empathy 7:04 - Love Matters campaign and Baldrige Award win 8:30 - How to connect with the community 11:28 - Community engagement 16:15 - Trust, transparency, and tough love 18:52 - Gratitude as part of Love Matters #healthcare #CompassionateCare #communityengagement #particpatorymedicine #aloha #ohana

3D Healthcare 💙 Effective and Sustainable Workflow Improvement in Care Delivery ♦ C-suites: Eliminate the Need for More Cost Cutting ♦ 3D Train the Trainer Certification Program ♦ A Loving Organization Culture Change
It's rare I watch or listen to a podcast and am inspired. Remembering the word, "inspire" comes from the root, "in spirit", we can say my inspiration has its roots in love, which is exactly what this podcast speaks to: Love as a guiding principle in the leadership, management, and delivery of excellent healthcare. Apurv Gupta, MD, MPH, Stephanie Feals and guest, Erik Anderson of Adventist Health Castle go deep into the practical application of love in creating the excellence in healthcare delivery that wins a National Baldrige Award. But it's so much more than winning this prestigious award. It's about the love that brings together leadership, staff, patients, families and community. Together we're better, yes? The powerful principles that are the foundation of a great organization must now include love. For Adventist Health Castle: Love Matters. For Dr. Gupta and Premier Inc.: A Loving Organization. For 3DHealthcare: Loving Systems. I so love and respect the many kindred spirits who are working so hard to make healthcare better. Having said that, isn't it time, as the song says, to give love a chance. If not now, when? If not us, who? #ALovingOrganization #LoveMatters #3DLovingSystems #3DHealthcare

Convinced that every class in a Catholic school should be taught from a Catholic worldview? Need resources, ideas, staff buy-in, or just a place to start? #MakingEveryClassCatholic is what I do! Let's get started.
You know what would be a fun and informative assignment? Trying to estimate the economic value of the contributions of Catholic religious sisters to health care (or you could choose another field). You could set some parameters. E.g., within geographical location X (maybe your home city, county, state or province), from year YYYY to ZZZZ. What curricular outcomes could you hit with this in subjects like history, math, social studies, or health? #MakingEveryClassCatholic
Catholic nuns played a pivotal role in shaping America's healthcare system by founding nearly 500 hospitals across the United States between 1866 and 1926. Their dedication and service laid the foundation for modern medical care and compassionate treatment. 🏥✨ Their work inspires our community to continue fostering innovation in medicine and science. Another timely discussion about work EACH is leading which ought to be spread and delivered at scale.
We loved hosting Federal Health Minister Mark Butler MP and Member for Aston Mary Doyle MP at our Burwood Highway site in Ferntree Gully last week to talk through the challenges and opportunities of community-based healthcare – including the imminent loss of funding to Reconnexion, our specialist benzodiazepine dependency and withdrawal support service. This week, we’ll be welcoming Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah MP to our Patterson St site in Ringwood East to learn more about our customers’ needs, and especially our Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic. Image from left to right: Lauren Barker (Program Director - Primary Care), Camilla Radia-George (Executive Director - Operations), Mary Doyle MP, Mark Butler MP, Jayne Dullard (Executive Director, Engagement and Advocacy), and Andrew Gosbell (Board Chair).
