Reporting from our latest RCT is now published in Acta Orthopaedica! We investigated the effect of team-based digital communication on patient-initiated phone calls to the hospital after orthopedic surgery and discharge - as well as patients' experiences of continuity of care, security and satisfaction with access to healthcare during this vulnerable period. Results showed that access to team-based digital communication significantly reduced the number of patient-initiated phone calls to the hospital for 8 weeks after discharge.
