Year 2 : Day 154 : Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Self Lesson from my experience In 2016, while working as a procurement consultant for for Airport Corporation, I faced a significant challenge. The airport, under the management of the Indian company in partnership with local company, encountered a critical issue during the holiday season. A politician's flight experienced a taxiing delay of over an hour, leading to frustration and a direct complaint to the CEO. With most procurement staff on holiday, I was the only one available to address the situation. During an urgent meeting, we devised a solution: changing the aircraft parking bay to create three additional parking slots. This required extensive repainting of 20% of the airport's markings, needing substantial manpower, coordination, and sourcing of specific paint not locally available and all of these need to sourced urgently with in a stipulated budget. I stepped beyond my procurement role, assisting in operations and doing endless call to ensure the project's success. This experience taught me that challenges are the only way to prove your talent. In your life, you will encounter many challenges. Embrace them because they are a part and parcel of your work.
