While some may see Europe as falling behind in innovation for the future, we at nyris certainly don't see it that way 🦾 This week we celebrate our long term customer, WAGO - a world leading manufacturer of components for electrical connection and automation technology from Minden, Germany located in a small region called East Westphalia-Lippe. The vast majority of all connections worldwide required to distribute, transform, fuse and convert, amplify or transmit electricity are made by 4 manufacturers in this region, with WAGO being the market leader. 🟩 Founded in 1951 by Brother-In-Laws Heinrich Nagel and Friedrich Hohorst who bought a patent for a screwless leaf-spring terminal block with push-buttons. 🟩 This patent was purchased from inventors Wagner and Olbricht - whose names combined form the company’s name, WAGO. 🟩 Today, WAGO's new compact multi-channel electronic circuit breakers and enhancements in their smart grid and building automation solutions are gaining attention, especially as industries continue to move towards digitalisation and sustainability. 🟩 As part of their own path towards greater sustainability, launched the Green Range for their 221 Series Splicing Connector with Levers - a greener sister of one of their most popular products made from recycled materials, with up to 87% in CO2 savings. 🟩 The company is continuing to grow strongly, with revenues reaching €1.37 billion in 2023 (more than double of 2013 numbers = €606 Mio), driven by investments in energy transitions, mobility, and factory expansions Stay tuned for more interesting facts as we celebrate more of our champions 🏆 #innovation #wago #nyris #sustainability #madeineurope #madeingermany

Factory2030's efforts for the Smart battery production domain are brought together in the fourth use case. The research conducted by Postdoctoral Researcher Matthias Rumpel addresses the integration of technologies and methods for developing current and future production scenarios; which could be evaluated in a pilot battery line. The story about Silvent – how it all began. It became apparent in the beginning of the 1970s that many people in industry suffered from hearing loss. Blowing with compressed air was one of the processes that generated the most noise. The noisy industry demanded new technology. A new way of blowing with compressed air, which could replace the noisy open pipe solutions commonly used in the industry. An prototype air nozzle was developed and patented.
