Building handrails is quite the process. First, lay out the boards on a workbench and apply an even layer of wood glue to one side of each board. Press the glued sides of two boards together, then clamp them down until the glue is dry. Next, remove the clamps, separate any unglued boards, and scrape off the excess dried glue. After this, we ran the handrails through two planers, a jointer, and an overhead shaper. Then, we used a table saw to trim the top corners of the handrails to help them pass more easily through the moulder. Once shaped by the moulder, we sanded the handrails and applied a finish (not shown in the video).
