The thinking that happens before a shoot is quite intense. Its the ideation phase, the plan. It's the time you work on a mood board & how you will execute the shoot. When you are getting on set, it's the execution of the plan. So by the time a photographer is getting on set, they have long been working and after they leave the set, they will continue working. On multiple projects we have had to prepare for days. The prep work for this Smirnoff shoot took at least 3 days. With designing the sets, searching for better solutions for the sets, taking them to be lazer cut. Painting, buying props, then shooting & editing. I like that this video shows a snippet of that process. One thing I have also been learning recently is how much product photographers also need strategic thinking to help their clients tell their stories better. It's something I hope to get better at sooner, rather than later.
A well thought out roadmap or process on how to bring a project to life is essential for any creative endeavour. Some time back we teamed up with production house SBA Studios to create some key images and communication assets for the launch of Smirnoff Orange and Extra Smooth in TZ. You can check out the case study on Behance and let us know what you think. Have a great week ahead. #adagency #production #productphotography https://lnkd.in/dfKUqQru
