For today's Project Feature Friday, we're highlighting another of our current jobs in progress: the new John Rogers Elementary School in Seattle. The new 82,000 square-foot structure will house up to 500 students in grades pre-K-5, replacing the original 1955 building. Set to open next fall, our team recently hoisted the final steel beam -- signed by students, staff, and community members -- during a topping-out ceremony. Thornton Creek runs directly adjacent to the site, and the team's work to keep the creek and surrounding trees undisturbed was a contributing factor in Lydig earning Salmon-Safe accreditation.
