We helped our client Wheel Easy improve their efficiency by 20% by just adding ONE feature to their MVP. Here's how we did it. Wheel Easy is an awesome business that helps you swap your winter tires in the comfort of your own house. They visit your house so you don't have to wait for hours at the shop while you're busy with other things! They had a problem they wanted to solve. Too much driving. They were travelling far too long between houses and sometimes driving around the city just to come back to the place they were before. It was a nightmare and they wanted to change this. We saw how efficient Amazon's logistics were so we brainstormed together. We got an idea and it was time for implementation! What we did was simple, we grouped the customers and optimized the bookings based on the proximity of the customers' addresses. The result? There was a 20% decrease in travel time and distance. This not only saved so much time and money for the technicians but also made them enjoy the work more because they didn't have to worry about the traffic too much. There was also a bonus! More people were saying that they saw the Wheel Easy van in their neighbourhood and ended up booking appointments. It was because the technician was able to stay in the neighbourhood for longer so more people saw the van! We're pretty astonished that just ONE feature could make such a big difference for the business. In a recent project, I delved into the intricate world of cab prices, examining various factors such as time, drop location, distance, and even weather conditions like temperature and rain. What I discovered was incredibly relatable: when it comes to rainfall, there's a clear pattern. Start of rain or heavy downpours, cab demand skyrockets. It's like a universal truth that as soon as those raindrops hit, everyone seems to scramble for a ride, causing prices to surge. But here's the twist – when it's just a light drizzle, the demand for cabs remains relatively unchanged. It's almost as if we students are collectively holding out hope for prices to drop, only to find ourselves swept up in the surge when the rain intensifies. It would be nice to have some offers or promotions during the gap time, and we students won't say no to offers in general, just saying.
