🎗️ World Lymphoma Awareness Day 🎗️ Today, we focus on raising awareness about lymphoma, a cancer that affects the lymphatic system, including the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus gland, and bone marrow. Understanding this critical part of our body’s defence mechanism is essential for early detection and effective management of lymphoma. 🌟 Lymphoma occurs when white blood cells called lymphocytes grow uncontrollably, impacting the lymph nodes and leading to symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. Recognising these signs early can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Join us in spreading knowledge and supporting those affected by lymphoma. Early awareness and prompt medical consultation are key to managing this condition effectively. 💙 - #WorldLymphomaAwarenessDay #LymphomaAwareness #CancerEducation #EarlyDetection #SupportAndAwareness #charity #donate #nonprofit #giveback #volunteer #fundraiser #givingback #support #community #donation #education #donations #jompeame #nonprofits #volunteering #charityevent #teenagecancer #cancersupport

I’m proud to share that Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) has launched its end-of-year appeal to raise critical funds for cancer research. ICF is the not-for-profit charity that raises funds to support Icon Cancer Centre’s network of doctors and healthcare professionals to do vital independent research. Natasha’s story, featured in this campaign, is a testament to how far research has come - advances in treatment have given her 12 years in remission after being diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at just 28. However, we still have a long way to go. Cancer rates in Australia are expected to rise by over 50% in the next 20 years. Continued investment in research is crucial to ensure we can provide hope, better treatments, and ultimately, more time for patients like Natasha. Please join us in supporting this important cause. https://lnkd.in/dKxXvJMm #cancerresearch #cancerfundraising #iconcancerfoundation

It will take a lot to cure cancer. Today, I ask you to support my fundraising effort for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS has spent $1.7 billion on research so far, and 70% of recently approved breakthrough medications have been supported by LLS grants. In addition, LLS works every day to improve the lives of patients and families from diagnosis through survivorship. Because for those facing blood cancer, the diagnosis is only part of the problem. There are practical challenges, like finding the right doctors and getting to appointments. There are emotional challenges –feelings of depression, anxiety, and isolation. And there are financial challenges, from paying for care and traveling to the clinic, to missing out on work. LLS offers co-pay and travel advances, education and information services, and leads public policy initiatives to keep costs manageable. Whatever amount you choose to donate - it WILL HELP support our mission to spread more hope and save more lives. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gvjsbK8t

I’m very excited to share with you that my daughter Isabella is a part of the 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign and over the next 7 weeks, she will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to find a cure for blood cancers.
