Understanding this critical part of our body’s defence mechanism is essential for early detection and effective management of lymphoma. 🌟 Lymphoma occurs when white blood cells called lymphocytes grow uncontrollably, impacting the lymph nodes and leading to symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. Recognising these signs early can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Join us in spreading knowledge and supporting those affected by lymphoma. I’m proud to share that Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) has launched its end-of-year appeal to raise critical funds for cancer research.  ICF is the not-for-profit charity that raises funds to support Icon Cancer Centre’s network of doctors and healthcare professionals to do vital independent research. Natasha’s story, featured in this campaign, is a testament to how far research has come - advances in treatment have given her 12 years in remission after being diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at just 28. However, we still have a long way to go. I’m very excited to share with you that my daughter Isabella is a part of the 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign and over the next 7 weeks, she will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to find a cure for blood cancers. It’s an honor to be a part of this outstanding group of students, but an even larger honor to be able to work for the patients, survivors and their families.
