There's something special about AUTUMN.
Maybe it's the shedding of leaves?
I feel they represent cleansing, de-cluttering, letting go.
Maybe it's the wind and rain?
I feel it's more consistent, more expected, almost inevitable, unlike the unpredictability of the UK's summer!
Maybe it's the change in foods we opt for?
I feel it's more fulfilling, warmer, colourful and nourishing.
The presence of wildlife that have been less obvious in the previous 6 months?
I feel like they thrive, take opportunities to prepare, store and connect to each other and nature.
For a lot of people autumn also means that winter is close by and the like the lack of daylight dims our sparkle, and mood!
You got to grab that vitamin D when you can get it.
Ideally 25% of your body (face/neck/arms or legs) exposed to sun without sunscreen (controversial information) for 10-30 mins a days is sufficient.
Couple that with Christmas, it can be a heavy time for many, in wellness, finances, pressure, work, relationships etc.
It's important to try and let go of the weather/seasons controlling our moods as we can't change what we are dealt day to day.
(Although we can migrate to warmer climates if that's what we recognise we need!?)
Focus on the things we CAN control.
What's your favourite season?
(Spring used to be my favourite season but for the last few years I feel that autumn is on parr 🍂 )
