We all know how Data is the most important asset and when utilized to it’s full potential it can take your business to new heights. It’s equally important to have the right data sets to work on and that’s what Mingora is doing for the MENA region for F&B field. I had an interesting conversation about the recent rising trends in F&B landscape at my recent visit at voco® Riyadh for (FFCC) Fast Food & Cafe Convention Saudi with the founder of Mingora- Ali Muhammad Syed. Watch for an insightful tip, and share a rising trend that you see rising in this region? #wahidroute #ffcc #mohammadfahad Mini Jacob George Mohan Wahid Route

Hospitality has played a great game over recent weeks, and it seems to be winning. But as we know after experiences in recent years, anything can happen in this game. So, is the hospitality sector winning or losing and will it see a bigger difference through the knockout stages of the Euros? With the added blessing of a mini heatwave in the UK and the Euros being held in Germany (hello to all our German colleagues) it means games are being shown at good times for us fans and hospitality providers in the UK. The Men’s UEFA Euro 2024 Spending Report by VoucherCodes.co.uk (see the link in the comments) also reveals that 14.4m Brits will watch at least one match at a pub, bar, or restaurant during the competition – a 115% increase from the last men’s major international tournament. UK hospitality venues are predicted to make £217.3m from food sales and £396.5m from drinks sales. That’s 110.3m pints of beer and cider, 36.1m glasses of wine, and 10.9m Aperol Spritz, roughly. That’s an extra 20M pints and an extra £94M in revenue. Giving a much-needed boost to the Hospitality sector over the period of the Euros. All of this is a bit like bringing on Ronaldo, Mbappe, and Bellingham off the bench, all at the same time with 20 mins to go and needing a winning goal. UKHospitality has said that the Euros group stage could give a boost of £340m in increased sales, and up to £800m if England reach the final! (And yes, we know, it doesn’t happen often but in the name of Hospitality we’re keeping our fingers crossed). So, whether England do eventually bring it home or it’s another nation lifting the trophy, let’s hope hospitality wins, with bars and restaurants across Europe buzzing with fans eating, drinking and enjoying the beautiful game. One thing is for sure, it seems that venues in the hospitality sector need to make sure they’re staffed up, their glass and dishwashers are in good form and make the most of the coming weeks. The hospitality sector deserves it. Whoever you’re supporting in the knockout stages… we’re supporting you.

We have been working on a huge project for six months with our friends at Tourism Training Australia for an industry we love and can't live without - our precious #hospitality industry! It's an industry that has brought us all so much joy, be it our daily coffee, a hot pie at the footy or a sandwich on the run, a delicious farm-to-plate fine dining experience, a holiday in the country or the beach, a takeaway or delivery on a slack night in, a glass of wine, a cold beer at your local, a fresh juice or a mindblowing cocktail, and so many many more unforgettable experiences shared with loved ones, colleagues and friends or on our own. Hundreds of thousands of people apply their skills and time to grow, pick, fish, prepare, truck, manufacture, make, cook, bake, pour, serve, clean, transact, entertain, review ( and yes, regulate), and do all this for us, day in and day out. We kept hearing heartbreaking stories of financial hardship - of businesses forced to close their doors and lay off staff, and of others acquiring, thriving and growing. It didn't make sense. So we have decided to do what we do best—offer a safe place to learn, upskill, collaborate, and innovate, address challenges together, identify opportunities, and leverage technology and new ways inspired by others. We are creating an online community that's free and open 24/7 for anyone who cares about the future of the hospitality industry. Everyone is welcome. We kick off with an Innovation Summit on 12 - 16 August 2024, bringing together a highly diverse cross-section of hospitality industry professionals to share their insights in four major areas of focus this year: workforce, sustainability, finance and ops, and the customer. Each panel is followed by a "Have Your Say", where you can leave a comment on the issues board or join the conversation. We will gather this data, share it with the community, and use it to inform the hospo innovation agenda, program, and activities for the year. Ignite Hospo runs from August 24 to August 25. It is not a conference. It is a twelve-month program that flexes to meet your busy life and needs when you need it. Every live session is converted to on-demand content, so it's always available anytime. All you have to do is register to join—there are no catches - it's free! Early adopters make the impossible happen. We are grateful to our wonderful Ignite Hospitality Supporters whose financial support makes this all possible - Tourism Training Australia; Urbis; Restaurant & Catering Australia; Australian Venue Co., Mews, ResDiary, Typsy, FutureLog AG, me&u, Volizer, Synergy IT Group, Paddl Co. (... and more in negotiation to be announced over the coming weeks). Please join us if you care about the greater hospitality industry ... as an Ignite Hospitality Supporter and/or as a free participant. Your support could make all the difference 💜.

A Good Company at a bad price is still a Bad Investment. Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) is a stellar business with revenue from airlines catering, food services, banquets, and hotel rooms. Their updated strategy—dropping the 'Crowne Plaza' franchise, expanding with wholly and jointly owned properties, and earning royalty fees through the 'Soaltee' brand domestically and internationally—is sharp. But here’s the rub: with a current P/E of 85x, SHL's valuation is hard to justify. For investors to see a 15% compounded return in five years, given a terminal P/E of 30x, SHL would need an astounding Net Income CAGR of 42%. This means growing net income from 601 million to 3,500 million by FY 2029. Is this feasible? This looks like a classic value trap. Traders might hope to enjoy quick gains by offloading to the next buyer at a higher price. But overpaying for even the best business eventually leaves someone holding the bag. It’s only when the tide goes out that we see who’s been swimming naked. #Investing #MarketInsights #ValueTrap #Soaltee #SHL #Nepse #Nepal Disc: Not a recommendation; Views are personal PC: ShareSansar
