Passionate leader driving transformation in the marketplace through industry differentiation, Gen AI offerings, female empowerment and provocative insights for clients
There’s a reason that we celebrate women for 31 days during Women’s History Month – because we fill so many roles! Is one month even enough? Today, I joined Taylor Beisell, Natalie Cooper, Prathima Tharangini, Kelsey Alanna Times, Sabrina Yu and Saagar Thakkar for a fantastic virtual session with Deloitte professionals in honor of #WHM. We talked about these roles, the identities that come with them, and what it means to be authentic. I hope they were as #inspired as I was by the conversation. A few things I shared: I value being intentional, yet flexible, and transparent – sometimes I might be too open – but it helps me build relationships. And I try to be forgiving and compassionate with myself and others. Supportive #networks are so important – I am fortunate to have colleagues and family to lean on – and I feel strongly that it’s ok to ask for help when we need it. We also talked about how we are more than just our stats. I am a professional, a mother, wife, daughter, mentor, leader, and teammate. I have identities tied to Deloitte, with my family, and in my community. I believe wholeheartedly that women can and should embrace the #intersectionality of all these roles. The different aspects of who we are can’t be separated. That’s why I say it’s ok to be #imperfectlypresent and give yourself some grace.
Love this recap! It was such a pleasure to serve as a panelist. My main takeaway - we are human beings, not human “doings” which is why it’s so important to give ourselves the grace we need
What a great recap and one thing you consistently do is bring your authentic, personal self forward. I admire that.
No doubt we’re all #imperfectlypresent, and everyone deserves grace. Love this, Lynne, for so many reasons. Embracing the #intersectionality in our lives makes us all better, and reflects our humanity.
Loved learning about and learning from you and the other panelists Lynne. #intersectionality brought out how we are all the sum of our identities so well. Thank you for the call out and the opportunity.
I loved all the sharing in this session.
It was such an inspiring and fun session!
Well said, Lynne! Hope this finds you and yours well.
Wonderfully said!
Love this Lynne Sterrett
