Republishing my project of Site Suitability Analysis for Wind Farms in California, this project leverages a GIS multi-criteria approach to identify areas with the highest potential for wind energy production. California is a leader in renewable energy, and wind power plays a crucial role. By strategically placing wind farms, we can maximize energy output while minimizing environmental and social impacts. This project explores factors like: -Wind speed and consistency at a certain height (> 7.5 m/s) at 80 m above the ground. -Land cover and topography. -Proximity to existing infrastructure. -Environmental considerations.
