July 23 marked the start of BC’s pre-campaign period before the October 19 election. The significance of the pre-campaign period is that third party advertising rules come into effect. If you are planning election related advertising, ensure you are up to date on the rules from Elections BC before you get started - and check any current advertising against the guidelines. This stage in the campaign doesn’t mean you can’t advertise - just make sure you know the rules.
