Day 6 💤 : I say it's a rest day, but I help out at the family takeaway on Fridays and Saturdays, so I feel a bit fatigued to do some coding after. It's kind of an excuse, so I'll plan better the following weeks. Luckily I did extra work on Day 3 and 4. BUT, I did find a good YT Channel / LinkedIn which gives good roadmaps and advice in the Tech world. Especially like the advice for software engineers and AI Engineers. Take a look if you're interested --> Sahil Gaba https://lnkd.in/eYPqj38P, https://lnkd.in/ejC2-Ji8 #keepcoding #keeplearning

Is this the end for software engineers? 🤔 ▪️ There is a new AI software engineering tool that can ▪️ Write code ⌨️ Debug code 🪲 Deploy the code 🚀 ▪️ So what does this mean? 🤷♂️ ▪️ Instead of needing to know how to code to create software like apps and websites, all you need is human language. ▪️ The CEO of OpenAI said the next biggest coding language will be English, and it looks like that time is now. ▪️ Will this effect the jobs of Software engineers? ▪️ Probably, BUT ▪️ This is now the time to learn to use this to differentiate yourself in the market. ▪️ #generativeaitools #genai #softwareengineering #coding #devin #thefutureisnow

Implementing #AI projects as a #JuniorDeveloper... I'm back to working with electrical systems for the time being, so I decided to set myself an afterwork challenge - building an App to help me brush up on technical knowledge just before my next big #TechInterviews! 👋 I'm thrilled to share the launch of my new app, Dev Dash: The Junior Dojo 🚀 I'm STILL on a mission to master coding skills and ace job interviews. This app is just another expression of that journey, designed to help fellow devs like me reach their full potential using OpenAI's API. Key Highlights: 🧠 OpenAI Integration: 🔍 Personalized learning experiences with the power of OpenAI API! Each user gets tailored content based on their study needs. 🌐 🔐 Secure Development: 💻 Utilized environment variables and git ignore files to safeguard sensitive information. Security matters and I've taken every step to protect my data and security information. 💰 First Paid API: 💸 Acknowledging the value of APIs, especially when they're not free. Lessons learned as this is my first venture into a paid API. The mistakes I made were costly, so I built a #DummyData system for my #DevelopmentEnvironment. The lessons I learned, however, were priceless. 🏗️ Data Structure is Key: 🛠️ Learned the hard way about the importance of solid data structure. Properly designing response data is critical, saving time and effort in the long run. As always, your feedback means the world! 🌍✨ Check out Dev Dash: Junior Dojo here: https://lnkd.in/gJk_4HZ7 <--------- ❗️❗️❗️ 🔥❗️ EDIT - Contact me for the PASSWORD ❗️🔥 Thank you, School Of Code & Chris Meah ⭐️ #OpenAI #artificialintelligence #Developer #CodingJourney #AppLaunch #TechCommunity #LearningToCode #JuniorDevelopers #FeedbackWelcome

🛑 Sorry, Devin! You can't replace our jobs! 🛑 Devin's got some serious skills, no doubt! From tackling coding projects to fixing GitHub issues, it's turning heads in the tech world. But let's take a step back and keep things grounded amidst the excitement. 💭 Sure, AI like Devin can handle certain tasks admirably, but when it comes to complexity, there's a real risk of things going awry. 🤯 Human software engineers bring essential qualities to the table that AI simply can't replicate - think problem-solving, critical thinking, and understanding complex systems. We're the real heroes here! 🦸♂️ Let's talk about tools like GitHub Co-Pilot , Chat-Gpt. They're fantastic for boosting productivity, no doubt about it. But let's not kid ourselves - they're assistants, not replacements! 🚀 So let's keep embracing technology, but let's also remember that our ingenuity and experience are what truly propel innovation in software development. Who's with me? Let's chat about it! 💬💻#AI #Programming #Career #Job #HumanIngenuity #SoftwareEngineering #TechInnovation #CodeHeroes #FutureOfWork #TechTrends #DigitalTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #TechnologyDiscussion #SoftwareDevelopment #TechIndustry #AIvsHuman #TechDebate #AIInSoftware #SoftwareJobs #DeveloperLife #TechCommunity #CodingSkills #InnovativeTech #SoftwareCreativity #EngineeringExcellence #HumanExpertise #TechProgress #TechLeadership #DigitalFuture What's your take on Devin and the role of human software engineers in the age of AI? Wow! 🤖 Devin, the first AI software engineer, has started pushing our imagination about what building software will look like in the near future. 🚀 On a popular SWE benchmark, it independently solved 13.9% of real-world software tasks! (GPT-4 score 1.74%) 🎉 What does this mean? 🤔 🚀 Software development efficiency will be significantly accelerated - reducing time/cost to build products. 💡Fosters greater innovation, enabling everyone to actualize their ideas, without the need for engineering expertise. 🎓 A CS degree or bootcamp alone won't suffice for Engineers as a profession. 🔝 Roles like a Technical Product Manager who stitch together business needs with technical implementation will become prioritized. 💸 Alters venture capital dynamics; startups won't need large seed funding for market fit validation. We're likely to witness more developments like this. What do you think will be the impact of such tools? https://lnkd.in/dcJVzTym

Founder @ NovaCopy AI | Software Engineering Fellow @ Headstarter AI | Assistant Director of Publications @ Hunehar | Home Tutor | CS Student @ FAST-NUCES | Front-End Developer In Training @ SheCodes |
🚀 Day 2 as a Headstarter AI Software Engineering Fellow ✨ Today was an action-packed day! I started by networking and sending messages to a few Software Engineers, kicked off my portfolio using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and attended an incredibly insightful session with Faizan Ahmed and Jack O'Brien! Jack, a former Senior Software Engineer at Google, shared fascinating tips for our final projects. He emphasized the importance of "Getting your first users on waitlist" and explained how "Waitlists are great!" According to Jack, having people on the waitlist means there's interest, and you're on the right track. One thing Jack said that really resonated with me was: "The best thing you can do for yourself is to build projects for fun. You'll have so much fun and learn so many things." During the Q&A, someone asked about feeling guilty using AI, and Jack highlighted the importance of embracing AI in coding. It's a powerful tool for understanding and writing code, becoming essential in our modern workflow. Don't hesitate to use AI to boost your efficiency. Here are some takeaways from the session: - Launch a product, generate revenue, and create something people want to buy. - Share your project early, gather feedback, and improve along the way. - Use AI tools to enhance your coding process. - "Distribute each project for breakfast." If you don’t get people using your project or product, it doesn’t really matter. Put it out for "breakfast" so people can "eat" it. Huge thanks to Headstarter AI, Faizan Ahmed, and Jack O'Brien for the amazing session! I’m enthusiastic about the next one. To all my fellow participants, keep pushing forward and don't give up! I personally really enjoyed this session! It's currently 3 am, and I am brimming with excitement about what's to come in this fellowship! #HeadstarterAI #SoftwareEngineering #AI #Coding #Learning #Networking

New Day, New Fear Arising among Software Engineers Cognition introduced Devin, the first AI software engineer. Devin is the new state-of-the-art on the SWE-Bench coding benchmark and has successfully passed practical engineering interviews It literally can: - Code entire projects - Complete Upwork jobs - Fix issues in large repos - Deploy in a sec It can even learn how to use unfamiliar technologies. But, AI works over open-source codes available on public platforms So if developers start rebuilding their learning process and stop sharing codes in the public Will that stop them from replacing humans and becoming our Assistants? What's your opinion on this whole situation? #artificialintelligence #ai #Devin #college #collegestudent #techcommunity #softwaredevelopment
