The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), a leading American charity, has driven innovation for over 70 years. From launching the first celebrity telethon in 1956 to advancing research, MDA continues to evolve through its new digital strategy. In partnership with VFP, Muscular Dystrophy Association implemented Salesforce’s PSA system, achieving $10 million in savings. Over the last several weeks I have shared some information regarding my plans to complete another marathon in an effort to raise money for ALS research through Tackle ALS. I have not yet asked directly for your help, so here it is. When I was diagnosed with ALS almost four years ago, I initially thought my life was over. But by the grace of God, I met Tim Green and Dr. Merit Cudkowicz Mass General Department of Neurology. Here is what Tim showed me. You can live an incredibly full and impactful life with ALS. It would not be easy, but it could be awesome. And here is what I learned from Merit, ALS is a curable disease. There are already many promising treatments and even more game changing treatments on the horizon, but there is simply not enough money. So I decided to do something about it by setting a goal of raising $1M for ALS research through TackleALS. The reason I chose TackleALS is simple. Every penny goes directly to support research and access to new treatments for more patients. To date we have raised almost $400,000 and since the announcement of the marathon we have already raised another $90,000. So here is my heartfelt request: 1. PLEASE share this post. 2. If you would like to join me on all or some of the run please sign up here: https://lnkd.in/evEKgkX4 3. If you are in a financial position to do so, I am asking for you to graciously consider an investment in the lives and future of people living with ALS. I am not asking for donations, this is truly an investment because if you have not already been impacted by ALS, you probably will at some point in your life. I have included the link to contribute below: https://lnkd.in/ePRqQ9yj PS The picture in this post is with Merit and her team from a couple of weeks ago in Boston right after I went to a Pearl Jam concert at Fenway Park the night before. My life is definitely not over. I am still climbing by God’s infinite grace 🙏❤️!

We are doing Run for a Reason to raise money for Parkinson’s WA. They help people with Parkinson’s, the nurses know about the latest medicines. They help people by answering questions if you are u sure about anything. Mummy finds it harder to go to work and harder to go to sleep, except for the afternoons and she gets shaky if she doesn’t take her medicine. She can’t do Run for a Reason this year as she just had a foot operation. next year we hope she can walk the course. Thanks Lottie for making a difference!
