We had a nice chat with Kim Hedegaard - CEO of Power-to-X at Topsoe who let us know that very interesting insights are coming up from their end. We had the pleasure to meet about two weeks ago during the H2 Forum in Berlin. Yesterday, Topsoe released their annual report 2023 and here are some of their highlights: - Revenue increased by 38% to DKK 9,416 million (2022: DKK 6,845 million) driven mainly by a strong demand for Topsoe catalysts especially in EMEA and North America and strong market growth in technology solutions. - Investments in Power-to-X and other technologies and solutions that enable net zero increased by 275% compared to 2022, reaching a new historical high. R&D spend increased to DKK 700 million, an increase of 20% compared to 2022. Topsoe has strengthened its position in Power-to-X with significant interest from partners across the value chain. In acknowledgement of the innovative Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cell technology, Topsoe was awarded a grant of EUR 94 million from the EU’s Innovation Fund for what will be the company’s first industrial scale electrolyzer manufacturing facility. The chosen location is Herning, Denmark. The construction of the factory is on track and on budget and expected to be in operation by 2024. https://lnkd.in/dHEjHbhm Jernej VERNIK

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄…   …that the growth of AMG Vanadium LLC is shifting from ferrovanadium to vanadium oxide which we produce in Nuremberg, Germany?   #AMG Vanadium is the western world’s low-cost producer of ferrovanadium, but #vanadium oxide is the base material for vanadium electrolytes for use in vanadium redox flow batteries. The production facilities for vanadium oxide and vanadium electrolytes in Nuremberg, Germany, are presently being expanded. Through proprietary #technology, we have successfully linked our two main vanadium plants in Ohio, USA, and Nuremberg.   The facilities in Ohio apply a two-step process in treating spent #catalysts, roasting first, and then melting. Instead of going to the second step, we can re-route the roasted spent catalysts and use them as a feed for the production of vanadium oxides in Nuremberg on the way to #battery materials.   You can find more information in our annual report: https://lnkd.in/e7AgCTf3
