Roadshow-Tour • Hannover Messe • Hannover Our second roadshow stop at HANNOVER MESSE was a remarkable experience filled with insightful discussions and innovative presentations. We explored sustainable booth concepts with our creative directors, who led engaging conversations on eco-friendly design. The DHBW Ravensburg alumni meeting provided an excellent opportunity for networking and exchanging industry knowledge. A highlight of the event was the panel talk on sustainable goals, featuring experts from Deutsche Messe AG, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and mac. brand spaces. Additionally, Fabian Höffner from TRASH GALORE impressed us with his presentation on recycling and upcycling initiatives. Prof. Stefan Luppold offered valuable insights into the future of sustainable live communication, while Reciclage showcased their creativity by upcycling our banners into unique bags. These bags were a hit with attendees who participated in our tracing game. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this stop a success. #roadshow #stopwashing #startacting #sustainability #future #livemarketing #hannovermesse #hannover

During my exchange last semester in Munich, I discovered that Germany is a leader in sustainability while also being highly industrialized. I was impressed with what I found. The automotive industry has always caught my attention due to the complexity of its supply chain and the constant need for innovation. One of the current challenges faced by the industry is sustainability. While walking around Munich, one can observe the prevalence of electric cars and the importance that Germans place on environmental issues. The BMW Group is a prominent company in Munich, known for its iconic BMW WELT and BMW museum. During my visit to the museum, I saw an exhibition called 'Innovation Drives the Future' that focused on sustainability. I learned about BMW's efforts in sustainable transformation, including their commitment to circularity. For instance, when a vehicle reaches the end of its useful life, many of its parts are repurposed as raw materials for new ones. Recycled materials are used for upholstery, seats, carpets, and floor coverings. The plastic used in these materials is obtained from recycled PET. Vegan alternatives are also used to ensure that the final product meets the requirements for appearance, resistance, durability, and wear and tear. These actions have a positive impact, including the use of secondary materials, production without methane gas, reduced water waste, and lower CO2 emissions. At BMW, achieving a circular economy is a top priority. They not only strive to provide their customers with the best cars but also recognize the impact that car production has on the environment. Therefore, they have taken on the task of improving and adapting sustainable strategies to reduce carbon emissions. The company's commitment to sustainability is evident in its exhibition at the museum, which aims to educate and raise awareness about the importance of environmental factors. I am Ariadna Peña, a Global Business Bachelor's student. I invite you to connect. #InternationalBusiness #Sustainability #BMW #BMWWELT

The sustainability unleashed by The Sustainable Angle at #FutureFabricsExpo 2024 was beyond amazing! Balloons, beans and even cigarette butts! Honestly! The creativity and commitment on display was as inspiring as it was compelling. And then there's the breadth of expertise and education in one place! Immersive is the word that springs to mind. The research and talented graphics teams that worked on the info boards, must be shouted out too. Absolutely excellent presentations of some very nuanced sustainability issues. What I appreciate most about the panels, both those on display and those on stage, is the goal of taking this conversation out of a 'Right vs Wrong' choice on everything. Sustainability is a very complex scene. Demonstrated by the fact we don't yet have an agreed definition in this context! Competing views on many issues can make for a confusing presentation. Especially for those who want to make well informed choices, but may give up as the overwhelm sets in. At FFE 24 the breadth of info on display I believe, allowed more people to see where they may fit in to the bigger solution. That there are many small choices to be made as experiments that then lead to being actively involved in the bigger change. The BIG Takeaway: DON'T GIVE UP! There are rapidly growing numbers of resources and people on the same team as you.
