I really enjoyed my recent discussion with Nicholas Carman of Macdonald & Company as part of the Accelerating Careers in Real Estate Podcast. Inevitably, we had a wide ranging chat and covered a lot of ground, including the much-welcomed injection of positivity into the sector from the new government. Nick has amassed a really interesting archive of longform interviews with a variety of people which individually provide a fascinating insight into each career journey, but together provide an invaluable multi-layered perspective on the industry as a whole. I find it an extremely easy and enjoyable form of sectoral research. You can check it out via his links below.

When I got to interview Colm Lacey, for the Accelerating Careers in Real Estate Podcast we talked about a meteoric career through public and private sector development. He shared his passion for learning, and how it has fueled his progress, he shared the impact and satisfaction of taking on leadership roles with local and national bodies. So we couldn't help but discuss the outlook for pubic sector regeneration after so many major projects have been halted and local authorities going bust. But what are his thoughts for the future?
