The new Procurement Act, coming into effect this February, presents the greatest procurement reforms since World War II. This is a remarkable opportunity for businesses of all sizes to help transform and improve the quality of public services while enabling innovative, capable, and growth-minded SMEs across the breadth of the UK to have greater access to public sector contract opportunities. Our Group CEO, Elizabeth Vega OBE DUniv is a vocal advocate for SMEs having a level playing field and removing non-essential barriers to public sector contract opportunities. We are, therefore, excited to support government’s preparation and readiness for the new Procurement Act coming into force and encourage all suppliers, particularly SMEs, interested in doing business with government and the public sector to attend the two excellent upcoming Cabinet Office webinars for suppliers on the 23rd and 24h of January. These sessions will focus primarily on the key changes being introduced by the new Procurement Act; how the new central digital platform will work (featuring a live demonstration); and will be an opportunity to ask questions regarding your own considerations and preparations for benefitting from the new provisions. You can book your place using the links below: Thursday, 23 January 2025 (10.30-11.30): https://lnkd.in/dn5UXf6u Friday, 24 January 2025 (11.00-12.00): https://lnkd.in/dKs9ing2 We are really encouraged by the investment that Cabinet Office has made in ensuring understanding, readiness and preparedness, including assembling the dedicated supplier information page on GOV.UK which is easy to navigate. This holds lots of useful information and videos on how to ensure you can benefit from the new opportunities introduced by the Procurement Act. Supplier Information Page: https://lnkd.in/ecR_5swJ Making the Procurement Act a success for everyone starts with strong and diverse participation from SMEs and scale-ups across the marketplace. Please, don’t miss this opportunity to inform and upskill your people, so you can unlock the potential of the new Procurement Act for your business when it goes live in February.
