Sparklers are a 4th of July favorite, lighting up celebrations with their mesmerizing glow. At Sourcify, we dive into the fascinating manufacturing process that brings these simple yet delightful fireworks to life. Here’s a peek behind the curtain: Raw Materials: Sparklers start with metal powders like aluminum, iron, or titanium for sparks, along with an oxidizer (typically potassium nitrate) and a fuel (such as charcoal or sulfur). Mixing: The raw materials are carefully mixed into a slurry, ensuring the right balance for consistent burn and spark production. Dipping: Metal wires, often made of steel, are dipped into the slurry. This coating is what will eventually ignite and create the sparkler effect. Drying: The coated wires are left to dry completely, ensuring the mixture adheres properly and will ignite uniformly. Packaging: Once dry, sparklers are carefully packaged to prevent damage and ensure safety during transport and storage. Each step in the process requires precision and care to ensure the final product is safe and performs beautifully. As we celebrate this 4th of July, let's take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and meticulous effort behind every sparkler. Happy Independence Day from Sourcify! 🇺🇸 #Manufacturing #Sparklers #4thOfJuly #Fireworks #SupplyChain #Celebration #Craftsmanship

If your top blade is harder than the scoring sleeve, it can become dented and cause issues with quality. That's why we do a 24-point Rockwell hardness inspection around the sleeve circumference and guarantee a hardness of 63Rc - 65Rc. #Industrialmanufacturing #IndustrialBlades #Grinding

ANI Metal's weekly galvanising newspaper 📰GalvaPress…Twentyseventh Edition🤟Editor Geoff Crowley ✒️ Dross measurement How to measure how much dross is in the kettle * A simple probe can be used to check the dross level. * A 12 mm diameter steel rod with a 10 cm "L" on end. * Gently lower into zinc until slight resistance is felt. Note depth. * Push rod to the bottom of the kettle and note depth now. * Dross thickness is difference between two depths. * Dross should be less than 15 cm, less than 10 cm is better. * Survey the whole kettle and find where dross accumulation lies. * Dross does not lie evenly across the kettle bottom. * Do this before and after dross removal. #ANImetal #GalvaPress #AllThingsGalvanizing #hotdipgalvanizing #galvanizing #GeoffCrowley

ANI Metal's weekly galvanising newspaper 📰GalvaPress…Fortyfirst Edition🤟Editor Geoff Crowley ✒️ Lead measurement A technique to measure depth of lead in kettle * Measure depth of liquid lead (Pb) in kettle bottom (if any). * Push the steel rod into the zinc until the dross is felt. * Push further, slowly to feel the bottom of the dross. The rod will go in easier again. * The rod goes easily through zinc, and also lead, but slowly through dross. * This last measurement is the depth of lead. #ANImetal #GalvaPress #AllThingsGalvanizing #hotdipgalvanizing #galvanizing #GeoffCrowley
