Promotion is not about having a new role, it is about understanding the level of responsibilities and accountability in addition to leading your team properly.

One of my most satisfying thing as a manager has been building a "Self organizing team".  While each team has its own complexities and challenges but overall by focusing on providing your team with the needed autonomy, mentoring/coaching, direction to achieve goals etc. are the prime requisites. Once you are able to bring up such a team, then you can focus on your role as a facilitator to keep the team running by facilitating collaboration,  removing obstacles, bringing clarity in tasks/goals etc. and enjoy the rewarding experience :)

A motivated team can achieve extraordinary things 🤝 A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of participating in a team development day. Many of us, including myself, went into the day with many questions about what to expect. 6 hours later, I believe we were all changed for the better. Here’s what I believe made the difference: 1️⃣ An Open Mind and clear vision 2️⃣ Empowerment and encouragement 3️⃣ Gratitude, Recognition & Support 4️⃣ Alignment in Values 💡 I can’t help but know this not only united us together in the office but transformed our lives outside of the walls of East Hanover at a time when we needed it the most - before the holidays. How do you keep your team motivated during times of chaos? (Remember, your “team” can be at your full time job or not) Let’s share insights and grow stronger together! 🚀

Been a team lead has always motivated me to share all the knowledge and experience that I being gathering these years.

Transitioning to new team? Focus on the first 2 pillars of being a great teammate during the early phases. 1) Show up- Take care of yourself so you are able to show up in all interactions with a task oriented positive focus. Sets the tone for you and the team. 2) Build relationships - While very challenging as working through tasks, get to know people (their name!, where they are from, etc) be authentic and interested. Share stuff about yourself.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO AT WORK: - be in a place that isn’t work - talk about things that aren’t work - learn about your colleagues beyond who they are in work Yesterday was lovely, motivating and also relaxing after the slog of the last few weeks. 🌟 Team Bonding 🌟 Something I feel is underrated & not done often enough in Businesses. Yesterday our Residential Heating Operations Team had a great time throwing some axes, darts & shuffleboard (we didn’t throw the shuffleboard because that would be dangerous)🪓🎯 There was: - Friendly competition - Big cheers of encouragement & support for eachother - The chance to chat & not talk about work Bringing the team together outside of the workplace to get to know eachother & let loose, in my opinion is invaluable. Work hard, play hard right?! Here’s your Friday reminder to get your teams together & have some fun 🙌🏼
