Focus on: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN For this project VLP+P provided 3D modelling of the glass surface (340m²) according to the architectural design. Surface discretization on rhombuses and triangles and mesh definition. The external façade surface, folding and wedging itself into the building, becomes a false ceiling and then an internal façade of the toroidal "jardin d'hiver" located in the inner courtyard of the building. Starting from the architectural concept (plans and sections) VLP+P created the three-dimensional surface which was subsequently discretized into triangles and rhombuses. VLP+P then followed the concept phases up to the constructional design of the structure (realised by welded T-support jigs converging at nodes with variable angles) and the glass support system. #3Dmodeling #development #facadeengineering #facadedesign #architectural #vlpandpartners

The 011h construction system based on components allows us to store the necessary information for designing, contracting, and executing our buildings in the best possible way from the initial modeling stage. 📐💻 🔎 Here's the end-to-end #design process with #components: 1️⃣ - Choose components from the 011h library. You can filter by usage or performance of the element. Additionally, the most cost-optimized construction solutions are displayed. 2️⃣ - Trim the components and place them in the designated areas. ⚙️🔧 D E S I G N I N G - L I G H T ⚙️🔧 At Fluid, we believe great design is not just seen but engineered. Our latest video showcases the installation of a bespoke structural glass ridge light, a centrepiece of a carefully phased glazing project for a high-end residence. The ridge light exemplifies the seamless integration of structural engineering and architectural intent. Steel Framework: Crafted from a modified universal column, the flange was expertly removed to create a robust structural T-section. Staggered steel sections were precision-welded to the web, ensuring stability across the span. Glass Innovation: Four insulated glass units, weighing a combined 1.4 tonnes, were structurally bonded to the steel frame. The result is an elegant all-glass appearance when viewed from above, with every detail engineered to deliver clarity and strength.
