🍍When judging the quality of a heat transfer print, three key points come into play. Firstly, the color vividness is essential. Bright and true-to-life colors make the print stand out. 🍎Secondly, the durability matters. A good heat transfer should withstand frequent washes and usage without fading or peeling. 🍐Last but not least, the clarity and sharpness of the image or pattern are crucial. A clear and detailed print looks more attractive. #Heat Transfer #Color #Durability #Clarity #Quality #Print #Image #3d

Practice makes…..? Well there’s no such thing as perfection but I get the sentiment of the saying! Screen printing decks can be a risky thing. With more than one colour you risk making a mistake you can’t just wipe off. And unlike a tee you can’t just discard and repurpose it! Decks cost way too much to do that! And what a waste it would be! 💰 Tees see another life as a test print and then a cleaning rag. 🧽 So for decks we use paper on the deck to test print until we’re happy. And then if you like you can place a piece of transparency down and print on that - this will mean you can see if that next layer/colour is sitting exactly where you need it. I’ll be making some nerdy in-depth videos soon surrounding this so stay tuned! Until then - check out my our website, we’ve been busy this year adding new things and upping the stock on some. Cheers. To prepare design files for print, start by setting the correct dimensions and ensuring a bleed area (usually 3mm or 0.125 inches) around the design to prevent trimming errors. Use CMYK color mode for accurate printing and ensure the resolution is at least 300 DPI for crisp output. Convert all fonts to outlines or curves to avoid font substitution issues. Additionally, embed or flatten all linked images to maintain consistency. Save your file in a print-ready format, such as PDF/X-1a, for professional results. For instance, when designing a flyer, if the size is 8.5” x 11”, include a 0.125” bleed on all sides, ensuring no critical elements are near the edges. Save the file as a high-quality PDF with crop marks included. #studeo360 #printdesign #print #printresolution

SMS technical tidbit of the day - 8 bit LAB v.s. 32 bit LAB: I just got Adobe Photoshop 2025 and it is pretty great. One really useful addition that someone had in fact pointed out to me during the Pantone v.s. SMS comparison I did at a Fogra Colour Management Café back in October, was that if you open your SMS colour palette in PDF format and hover over any colour, change the INFO settings to display both CMYK and LAB, and then change the default setting under LAB from 8 bit to 32 bit, then you will see a more accurate LAB value, - which is for instance necessary if you are a printer and you are about to print an SMS colour. Then you will have an instrument called Spectrophotometer and this instrument measures colours in LAB format displaying each colour with at least 2 extra digits instead of none, - which is the default in Adobe Photoshop. If you are a designer, you can also use this feature if your printer or your manufacturer needs an exact LAB value. Just hover over the colour and write it down. This will be exactly the LAB value your printer needs to match with his spectro. #graphicdesign #printing

❗UB Branding Know How❗ Vinyl Fact Finding There are many types of printable vinyl, including: 👉 Monomeric, 👉 Polymeric, and 👉Cast vinyl. 🚨The type of vinyl you choose will affect the application of the vinyl print. 🚨 🎶Note the following: 👉Cast vinyl is soft and flexible and used for vehicle wraps. 🚚🚗 👉Polymeric vinyl is less likely to shrink and suitable for vehicle decals and applications on bended surfaces. 👉Monomeric vinyl is mainly used for flat surfaced applications such as signage. #printing #branding #signage #onlineshop #businessowners #promotable #pvcbanner #sharkfinbanner #telescopicbanner #flags #calendars #pullupbanner #krugersdorp #johannesburg #fourways #UBBranding

🛑 STOP! 🛑 Don't send that file to print without making these four checks: 1️⃣ Check the Resolution: Make sure all images and graphics are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch). This ensures your prints come out sharp and clear, avoiding any pixelation or blurriness. 2️⃣ Bleed is Sufficient: Ensure your design extends beyond the trim line by about 0.125 inches (3 mm). This helps prevent unwanted white borders or unprinted edges once your prints are cut to size. 3️⃣ Color Mode: Convert your file to CMYK color mode. CMYK is used for printing, ensuring your colors come out vibrant and true to design, unlike RGB, which is optimized for digital displays. 4️⃣ Spelling & Grammar: Double-check your text for any spelling and grammatical errors. A simple typo can lead to costly reprints, so thorough proofreading is essential. Print smarter with Davant! 📑✨ #PrePrintChecklist #DavantIndy"
