What are you really consuming when you smoke or vape? Cannabinoids, Terpenes, and other volatile compounds in cannabis are sensitive to thermal degradation, combustion, and pyrolysis. They are easily transformed and converted into new molecules even at fairly low temperatures. This can even happen during a traditional extraction or distillation. If you compare the boiling points of the compounds of interest, they are all very low in comparison to the temperatures used for vaping, dabbing, and smoking. The ember on a joint can burn at 900-1000F and a lighter can burn up to 2000F, for example! Sales data will confirm that a large majority of cannabis sales are for smoked or heated and inhaled products, and a large majority of consumers say they prefer those effects. Assuming a COA is perfectly accurate, is it that profile creating the effects? Or is it what is actually consumed after applying heat, creating smoke or vapor, and inhaling?
