News articles like this are disappointing to read. When we in the cannabis industry fail to do the right thing by choice, it gives the government reason and room to overreach and overreact. This is why AVEO Vapor Devices has always been forward-thinking and managing our own supply chain to prevent contaminated raw materials from entering our factories, and heavy metal testing before testing was required. We have an obligation to be honest and transparent with our customers. This way, they can make informed decisions about what they put into their bodies based on all the facts. #CannabisIndustry #CaliforniaCannabis #ConsumerSafety #SupplyChainManagement #QualityControl #HonestBusiness #CustomerTrust #CannabisRegulation #FiftyShot #AVEO #EthicalBusiness #HealthAndSafety #Transparency #CleanCannabis #SafeProducts #IndustryStandards #SustainablePractices https://lnkd.in/dUP2u8hx

Wondering about extractables and leachables studies? Let's dive in: Tailored Studies: These studies aren't one-size-fits-all; they're customized to fit each product and its intended use. Factors like what the product is made of and how it's used affect the testing process. Need for Both Tests: It's not enough to just test extractables; we also need to check for leachables. This ensures we catch any potentially harmful compounds that might end up in the final product. E&L studies aren't just for medicines. They're crucial for a wide range of products we use every day, like food packaging to cosmetics to medical devices. Let's collaborate to ensure your products are safe and meet regulatory standards! www.itracepharma.com #ProductSafety #RegulatoryCompliance #ExtractablesAndLeachables #PharmaceuticalSolutions #AnalyticalTesting #CuttingEdgeTechnology #CustomizedSolutions #QualityAssurance #Innovation #Collaboration #iTracePharma #ChemicalAnalysis #CompoundIdentification #ProductSafety #MassSpectrometry #RegulatoryCompliance

⚠️ Warning - Offensive Content ⚠️ Whilst these won't actually cause you offence, they are a popular with #NHS and other medical settings for 'offensive' waste. But what is 'offensive waste'? The governments definition is as follows; "Offensive waste' is non-clinical waste that's non-infectious and does not contain pharmaceutical or chemical substances, but may be unpleasant to anyone who comes into contact with it." (Full details can be found here>> https://lnkd.in/e7DpUqwy.) Or, they could be used as a giant swear jar? The choice is yours. ANOTHER cannabis testing lab bites the dust... WeedWeek breaks another story relating to CA pesticide scandal. This time, California Cannabis Testing Labs (CCTL) has been shut down by the DCC with immediate effect. "Some of the allegations date back to a February 2022 site visit, when lab staff acknowledged falsified records, disregard for company procedures and other breaches." - WeedWeek. NOT a good look at all right now. Cannabis industry: — How bad do you think the lab problem is? — How do we start rebuilding consumer trust? — What can brands, retailers, manufacturers and growers do to ensure that our products aren't harmful to the consumer?? I'd love to hear what you all think and how WE, as an industry, can collectively bounce back from these scandals.

Europe has already banned the use of another forever chemical—titanium dioxide (TiO2)—from food products, and there is a proposed ban for pharmaceuticals. However, TiO2 is still used in the U.S. for a wide range of products including candy, toothpaste and capsules where it serves a variety of purposes including reducing blotchiness and giving pills their signature bright white appearance.12 If federal or state regulators were to ban TiO2, manufacturers would likely need to quickly pivot and find suitable alternatives for that ingredient. Evaluate product portfolios: Companies should evaluate the potential existence of chemicals of concern in their finished products as well as potential exposure from manufacturing processes, upstream suppliers, manufacturing equipment, and product packaging
