"If we're doing our jobs right, we're not thinking about design in a silo. We're thinking about design as an overarching idea, and how can we build the right thing for the world." — NY Creative Director, Matt Delbridge Last month The New Standard hosted a panel discussion in partnership with Dezeen at Ace Hotel / Atelier Ace Brooklyn that explored "Design Studio 2034". The talk featured Universal Design Studio creative director Satoshi Isono, Map Project Office creative director Emilie Robinson and Made Thought creative director Matt Delbridge. Delving into the power of cross-disciplinary collaboration and a new era of creative partnerships, they also spoke to how coming together as three individual studios can offer expansive opportunities to elevate client projects beyond what was once imaginable with a traditional agency approach. Artist | Creative Graphic Designer | Specialist in Branding, Logo Design & Packaging | Transforming Brands with Unique Visual Identity & Strategic Design Solutions
In the world of design, I’ve learned that the right atmosphere is essential for sparking creativity. A well-organized workspace brings fresh ideas and enhances the quality of my work. ✅ Taking time to do nothing lets my mind freely explore new possibilities without boundaries. While organization is important, not every creative process needs strict structure—sometimes, the best ideas come from a bit of chaos. And let’s be honest, working under pressure often kills creativity!💯 So, designers, how do you create the right balance between structure and freedom in your creative process? #DesignThinking #CreativeProcess #WorkspaceWellness #BalanceInDesign #DesignLife

Reflecting on the last 9 months since the birth of Collective 66, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. As co-founder and creative director, I’ve learned so much about the intimate connection between design and our daily lives. It’s not just about creating spaces—it’s about curating, crafting moments, experiences, and emotions that resonate with people on a deeper level. This journey has allowed me to embrace the poetic and human-centric side of design, something that is often overshadowed in the rush of corporate environments. Collective 66’s vision is not just to be a studio—it’s to become a movement that embraces the collective power of design, elevating beauty and embodying the essence of thoughtful, intentional creation. We’re constantly pushing the boundaries to blur the conventional lines, while deeply respecting the context and versatility of each project and product. I’d love for you to join us on this journey: ◼️ Follow us on LinkedIn https://lnkd.in/d-WzEfHx ◼️ Join us on Instagram https://lnkd.in/d_fxrfyf for a closer look at our design explorations.

As designers, our environment can greatly fuel creativity and shape the way we approach problem-solving. Whether you're working from an office or a spot like this, here are some tips to stay productive and creative: ✅ Simplify, Simplify, Simplify Trim down unnecessary elements. Design, like life, is better when it’s simple and focused (and yes, that includes your layers panel ✅ Stay Open to Inspiration Nature, architecture, even random street signs—everything around you can spark creativity. And if that fails, go grab a second coffee. ☕️ ✅ Keep It Organized A well-organized workspace and design file can help boost your focus. Sort those layers—your future self will thank you! ✅ Take Breaks Step away from your screen every once in a while. You’d be surprised how often the best ideas come when you’re not staring at pixels. Where do you find your design inspiration?

Nothing is more satisfying than a shockingly-effective before and after. Case in point, this is the before of a space that will be used to market one of three simultaneous projects for a new client with my colleagues from Prima Marketing. Quick timeline? Check. Working within seemingly challenging space constraints? Check. Is this the sort of work that makes me do a happy dance of anticipation? Double check. Looking forward to sharing the behind the scene updates as this progresses! #vancouverpresales #marketing #interiordesign #realestate #projectmarketing #primamarketing #beforeandafter #creativesolutions #problemsolving
Leading all marketing and interior design strategies in real estate presales for select developer clients.
Does true creativity evolve from a blank slate? I would argue that no, it does not. A blank canvas is the simplest and most straight-forward of circumstances in which to create something remarkable. For me at least, that's not a challenge and certainly not the most impressive form of creative problem-solving. Give me an outdated 1970's office adjacent to an active industrial zone with walls where you don't want them, structures that can't be moved and THEN ask me to work with a team of amazing creatives and we will produce something that makes you go, "Wow! You did that? There? In that location? I can't believe it's the same space!" That's my most personally-satisfying definition of creativity and such a powerful way to demonstrate to purchasers the positive transformative powers of a significant new development. Keep an eye on the progress as I work with colleagues Alex Holme and Alexander Bains from Prima Marketing, with the incredible interior design team from CLVR Studio to create a brand new approach to marketing a significant new commercial development. Trust. This is a before and after you will not want to miss. More to come. #presales #marketing #realestate #creativity #interiordesign #beforeandafter

THE NEW CABANA | MEAN TO BELONG For several months we have been working with Marco Creativo studio to reimagine our brand strategy positioning and visual identity. HOW CABANA HAS BECOME CABANA. We were born in 2016 with a clear vocation for customer service that has driven us from the beginning and allowed us to pave the way. For us, there is nothing more satisfying than being recognized as a team, a collective of professionals who unite their talent and objectives to contribute the most to each project. We are convinced that this way of doing things is inherent to the new generation of architects to which we belong, solving problems as a team without individualism, where the team is constantly trained to see potential in every place and contribute value in all directions. Cabana is synonymous with duality. On the one hand, there is an outward force, and on the other, there is also an inward one, with references and collaborations that guide and enrich it. Thanks to the trust of our clients, we have developed many and diverse projects, but it is undeniable that Jaén Plaza has marked a significant milestone for us, where we had the opportunity to develop our first major new commercial center, led from the conceptual stage to its inauguration. We shape the projects, and in turn, the projects shape us. Due to this achievement and the evolution of the studio itself, we have made the decision to challenge ourselves in 2024 through a sophisticated and thoughtful rebranding process, led by the magnificent team at Marco Creativo, which gives rise to a new Cabana that looks to the future with more strength, more maturity, and more enthusiasm than ever. OUR MANIFEST. “Building or designing spaces for communities involves understanding their context and particular characteristics. Our love for deep analysis, both physical and demographic, and the knowledge of a place’s memory and identity is what enables us to find the key connected to the emotional field. And the things that have emotional meaning, the things that belong to us in some way, are the ones we want to preserve. We create architecture for individuals and communities, contributing to urban development while respecting collective identity. We pursuit the guiding idea that is connected with a collective identity and allows us to mean something to the communities that are part of it” Special thanks to the whole MarcoCreativo team: Marco García, Susana González Tamara - COPYSU, Sergio Devesa Baeza, and everyone involved in this wonderful process.

Embarking on a creative journey is like stepping onto a blank canvas, and behind every extraordinary #design is a designer who poured their passion, expertise, and creativity into bringing ideas to life. As we navigate the ever-evolving landscapes of innovation, let's not overlook the crucial role of treating our designers with the utmost care and #respect. In the world of design, the #workplace isn't just an office; it's a sanctuary where ideas take flight, and innovation is born. Nurturing a #culture that values and uplifts our designers is not just a professional responsibility but a testament to our commitment to excellence. When we recognize and appreciate the unique skills and perspectives they bring to the table, we create an environment where #creativity thrives. A designer's journey is often filled with challenges, deadlines, and the pursuit of perfection. Yet, amidst the intricacies of their craft, lies the potential to transform concepts into visual masterpieces. By fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes #well-being, open #communication, and mutual respect, we lay the #foundation for a collaborative masterpiece. Remember, treating your designer well is more than just a gesture; it's the key that unlocks a realm of endless possibilities. It's the acknowledgment that their dedication is not just noticed but celebrated. As we embark on projects and endeavors, let's recognize that our #designers are the #architects of #innovation, and their brilliance deserves to shine. In the tapestry of success, the threads of #gratitude and respect are woven alongside creativity. Together, let's craft an environment where every designer feels valued, inspired, and empowered to push the boundaries of what's possible. After all, a well-treated designer isn't just an asset; they are the heartbeat of a vibrant and thriving creative ecosystem. @omrekiweb #DesignExcellence #WorkplaceCulture #Appreciation

The most successful designs and projects all have the same thing in common, The ability to work in the ✨ grey ✨ Let’s be honest, we would love to always have the perfect brief. To have clients who know exactly what they want. Who gives relevant and informative feedback. These clients might exist somewhere… but I’m yet to meet them if they do 🤣 However, most clients: - Lack time or knowledge. - Lack funds. - Lack capacity. And that’s why they come to us in the first place. This is where our magic as designers comes into play. The grey area = the undefined area between what the client says they need, what’s in the brief and what they have to work with. How we tackle the grey area – ⭐ Build trust - Be transparent with your client, involve them in important decision making and processes within the project. This builds a sense of ownership and emotion over the design. ⭐ Actively listen – There's usually more information to scratch beneath the surface, listen, ask questions, show your investment. ⭐ Take and element of risk – Push boundaries, create bold and exciting designs. Be clear about your design and how it translates into their business plans. It’s important to step out of your comfort zone and stand out. ⭐ Embrace uncertainty – AKA where the magic happens. Uncertainty gives us the creative freedom to turn projects into something special. The sooner you embrace the challenge and run, the more fun you can have with the design. The grey area may seem like a big scary grey cloud of doom. But this is the area where we thrive, and inevitably some of your best designs and projects will come from. Our favourite thing to do at ESP PLAY Parks is work in that grey area, to create for clients, something they could never have dreamed of. And ironically the greyer briefs you work with, the greyer they get. So, here’s to embracing the grey, and all the challenges that comes with it. That’s what makes it exciting after all! #design #designer #playgrounddesign #playground #playgroundequipment #specialists #designbuild #localauthority #housebuilders #inclusivedesign #inclusiveplay

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲—𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Sometimes that journey looks like brainstorming with a pen and paper, and other times it’s immersing yourself in nature, architecture, or even conversations with people. As designers, we don’t always need to be at a desk to find that spark. Sometimes the best ideas come when we step away and immerse ourselves in fresh air, the beauty around us, and a bit of peace. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: ✅ 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: A change of scenery often brings new perspectives to challenging design problems. ✅ 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: Away from the hustle and distractions, it’s easier to lock into a creative zone. ✅ 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Finding moments of stillness helps recharge and maintain that creative energy for the long haul. Whether it's from a city office or a spot like this, what matters is producing work that resonates.
