Bummer... yesterday's announcement from Detroit is hard news, as another U.S. apparel brand, making clothes here instead of overseas, halts production.
Tough news. While successful, the headwinds were just to strong and the demands all-consuming. Sound familiar?
Please don't buy product from overseas. Find U.S. brands that authentically manufacture here (beware of brands that say U.S. made, but don't pay a fair wage by using contractors). Buy their product. That's the best form of support there is...
If you are so inclined, name your favorite U.S. brand in the comments! I buy from TS Designs and Todd Shelton.
Here's the love letter from the founders to their customers (yes, you can still buy product, but not for long)
=====================
Hello friends!
After 14 years, and with full hearts, we are announcing the closure of our business. While saying goodbye is bittersweet, we are looking forward to more time with family, having weekends off, and finally going on a honeymoon!
What an incredible privilege it has been to make clothes for you. We are incredibly proud of what we've built, and never could have imagined all the thrilling experiences this adventure would throw our way. We are eternally grateful to our customers, staff, friends and family, and industry peers who have supported us along the way.
