So lead with example!" Kindness, understanding, transparency, loyalty, honesty, being supportive, planning, structure and discipline will make you achieve your goals and plans.. It’s always easier to feel confident in command when everything is going well. But real leaders are made in the line of fire and in hellfire. They act when everyone else gives up. They lead by example and push their limits to lead exceptionally.. Success comes to those who don‘t quit and never give up.. Those who keep pushing ahead and even harder when progress is unseen, seems slow or is even staggering.. Those who carry everyone else with them and empower them to greatness.. Don’t forget: Your very own breakthrough could be there in any second of any hour of any day of any week of any month and any year of that very right moment right around the corner.. So keep Going, Never Stop, Never Give Up your Hope, Willingness, Discipline, Endurance, Power & Belief in YOURSELF.. And whenever your mind starts playing games with you, then start treating every negative situation as a lesson to learn in life -> then you will be able to have a positive life.. The more you take things negatively, the more negative your mind and actions become.. So when a negative thought comes to your mind, instantly replace it with a positive one and you will fly.. Sometimes you’re asked to do something that you don’t feel quite ready for - but you take it on anyway. In life we usually call this “fake it until you make it”. Well, there is a song on my playlist that always makes me think of “fake it until you make it”! It’s called “Hoist up the thing” by The Longest John. To those of us who dwell in the Agiley-Leany-Coachy triangle, this meme below is obvious: a statement that a human-centered organization over time will become more successful than traditional management structures. However, many folks still are new to the concept of a human-centered organization. I often have to step back a bit & explain when I use the term. Definitely it's something most of the people reading this understand from their own experience. And it's great to have a peer-reviewed published study or literature review to give to management, HR & stakeholders for an analytical & empirical view. This is a common failure mode in LLMs - if you let let them start with the final answer, they get it wrong often. It's worth understanding the underlying mechanism: 1. The model's budget for computation is *fixed*. They can only do a certain amount of lookup and compute operations per output tokens. Letting the model write down more words is literally the only way to supply the model with more thinking fuel (compute). 2. The model's training set contains mostly texts that are self consistent. So if it makes any kind of mistake on the first token, it's very hard for them to break free and say "actually no I was wrong". What almost always happens in real life texts is that people are self consistent, and if they start with a "yes" (even an erroneous yes), then the rest of the text will contain (wrong) justifications for this mistake. Always remember the model isn't optimizing for truth, it's optimizing for the likeliest next token given all the tokens that came before. What usually happens after a mistaken assertion are mistaken arguments, not a rapid conclusion that the assertion is wrong. 3. The model's underlying self-attention mechanism are very iterative in nature. It's easy for it to make direct comparison in tokens, and harder for it to express a complex thought process "inside the model". So calculating 0.9 X 250 is a sort of "set play" where the model knows how to solve, and comparing one answer to another is again easy for it. This is very different for an LLM as compared to intuiting the first completion token to the sentence "is 225 90% of 250", which is very out-of-sample. What to do? Long term I have many thoughts about how the training objectives should change. I think LLMs should have the explicit ability to backtrack and the dataset should includes many examples of iterative mistakes and corrections that come to a correct answer. But as a user who's not training the model, your best bet is to encourage the model to *delay* its output. "Think step by step, try to think of how each argument may be wrong, play devil's advocate, and finally jduge which argument is the most convincing". "review the carefully and reason at a high level what might be the error before fixing, explain you method and finally output the corrected code". etc.
It doesn't feel much different from most of my arguments with people... 😂

It might take me 30 minutes to facilitate however take days to create. We do not just google information and create a power point or a learner guide on a word document with our logo on it, we: 1. Have a detailed skills gap analysis. 2. Go through historical data to understand whether there was any training conducted previously and whether there was applied competence and ROT measured. 3.Complete a pre-training assessment to understand where the knowledge and skills gaps are. 4.Go through the psychometric assessment results to understand their aptitudes, strengths and weaknesses. 5. Engage with the target audience to understand their preferred learning methodology to ensure that we deliver the content in a way that they will be able to absorb it. And only then we START developing the content...
