New beginnings! 🎓 I am happy to share that I've been selected for the MBA program (2024–26) at K J Somaiya Institute of Management and it's been a week spending time with loving people at this beautiful campus. Our first week, the induction week, is full of fun and learning. The CTJ session has given us the chance to make new friends by engaging in some memorable activities and has made us learn the importance of being grateful, patient, and many other things. Grooving on the fitness through dance session made each of us realize, "Bhai, physical health pe dhyaan dena hoga!" but it was exhilarating. 😊 Though there were a lot of lessons to be learned from the induction week workshops, I thought these two were particularly insightful.💡 1. Say no to fear and favor - Your success is waiting on the other side of your fear. Say no to fear and no to others' favor until you run out of other options. 2. Instead of becoming serious in life, become sincere - You must have been trained to take your life and your goals seriously and to act accordingly, but wait, being sincere towards your goals will help you achieve them. So, have some fun! I hope all had a great induction week. A big shoutout to the team at KJSIM for making this week full of memories and fun for each one of us. I'm excited for what's to come and to grow with wonderful faculty and peers. 📈 #KJSIM #NewBeginnings #InductionWeek #CTJ #FitnessThroughDance #Gratitude #Patience #Learnings #Memories

It’s a little daunting seeing all the big plans people have for this year, the numerous goals they have set themselves, the academic achievements they wish to make and the life changes coming their way. Meanwhile, my only goal for the year is to stay alive and be the best tutor I can be for my students. It is easy to compare ourselves to others, to feel inadequate, to believe we are not good enough because we are not achieving these huge successes or setting ourselves challenging goals but actually who is deciding which goals are the most difficult to axhieve? For some academic success comes easy and poses little challenge, for others it is a huge goal to be celebrated with each submitted assignment. For many staying alive is not even a thought let alone a goal, for me it is a daily consideration. We are all different. We all face different challenges. No matter what our goals are we should celebrate them, even if that goal is simply getting out of bed each morning. Progress not perfection. #2025 #goals #pituatoryadenoma #braintumour #progressnotperfection #hullcollege #FElecturer #education

Turning an ‘E’ Grade into Motivation Here is how Yusuf Najat transformed a Setback into Success: “As for me, at that point when I was at my lowest, I decided on which way to go. I used to tell people that very ‘E’ (grade) I had in my Part One - First Semester was necessary because it became the push; what I needed exactly to go after that dream of mine,” says Miss. Yusuf Najat. In her first semester, Najat faced the challenge of an ‘E’ grade, a potential setback for many students. Instead of letting it discourage her, she used it as a motivator. This pivotal moment pushed her to refine her study habits and reignite her commitment to her academic goals, ultimately achieving a First Class degree. Najat’s story is a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth. Her journey from a challenging start to academic excellence provides a roadmap for overcoming obstacles and staying motivated. Reflecting on a Term of Growth, Achievement, and New Beginnings As schools near their first term break or continue their learning journeys, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the dedication, growth, and resilience shown by students and staff alike. Personally, this term has seen exciting changes, and drama… including the introduction of new Drama programs, sparking creativity and expression in classrooms! Additionally, innovative programs like Pentas Seni are providing students with opportunities to develop and celebrate their mother tongue, fostering a deeper connection to their cultural heritage. As a framework, the MYP allows us the opportunity to create an iteration that reflects the individual context of our individual schools. A huge thank you to educators, staff, and students across all schools for their continued commitment to excellence. Whether you’re about to take a break or continuing your learning, may this be a time of reflection, growth, and excitement for what’s to come. Stay positive. You got this. Together, let’s look forward to another term filled with learning and innovation! #EducationExcellence #StudentSuccess #InnovationInLearning #CulturalHeritage #DramaEducation #PentasSeni

Had an insightful day with my colleagues. And one of the topic we discussed was Life Skills in Education. We got to navigate on how life skills are the root of academic excellence. We were asked to mention that one teacher who impacted our lives positively during our time in school and mention what they did that we can remember. We concluded that what they instilled in us was life skills ,and the skills shapes us up to day.The discussion challenged us to see the importance of lifeskills in curriculum. These skills are not just supplementary but fundamental in nurturing students who are not only academically proficient but also well-rounded and prepared for real-world challenges. Let's encourage educational institutions to take life skills seriously and make them a core part of student development. By doing so, we can better equip our future leaders with the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally. #Education #LifeSkills #StudentDevelopment #FutureLeaders

🌟 Reflecting on a Challenging Semester Now that the semester has ended, I’ve had some time to reflect on the journey . It was, without a doubt, one of the most challenging semesters of my academic journey so far. Long nights, countless deadlines, and moments of doubt tested my patience and perseverance. But through it all, I’ve learned some valuable lessons that I’d love to share: 1. Resilience is key: When things get overwhelming, it’s easy to feel like giving up. But every small step forward counts, and resilience helps you push through the toughest times. 2. Balance matters: While academics are important, I realized the importance of taking time for myself ,whether that meant a short walk, connecting with loved ones, or simply resting. 3. Growth comes from discomfort: The hardest moments were the ones that taught me the most. Challenges pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow both academically and personally. I’m grateful for the support of my professors, classmates, friends, and family who reminded me that I wasn’t alone on this journey. To anyone going through a tough time—academically or otherwise ,remember that every season has its purpose. The struggle you face today will shape the strength you carry tomorrow. Here’s to growth, perseverance, and the lessons learned along the way.💫 #UniversityLife #PersonalGrowth #GIU
