Alternate channels of business in India: Missed by Global & Indian brands managers. Take a peek 👀 Somebody dropped this booklet directory - Informer with morning newspaper. It's almost as old as internet shopping is in India i.e since 2010. In CE segment, when we launch or expand distribution, we look at eCommerce Channels & Retail Chains as primary GTM strategy and nothing wrong with it. Let's see what are these Alternate or rather Added Channels 1.Government e-Market (GeM) portal: - 💰 Rs.3 trillion turnover est in FY24 - GeM’s prices were 9.5 per cent lower than other online platforms - It has 63,000 Government Buyers 2. Rising Star 💫 in ONDC, will be largest shopping network in coming decade. - Crossed 50 million transactions - Beauty/personal care and electronics contributed to 21.89% While eCommerce and (LFRs +SFRs+GT) will dominate the international brands for bulk of their business, but there're some hidden gems viz GeM, ONDC and maybe the Informer booklet as shown below. PS: I really don't know what's the circulation or efficacy of Informer but I pick it up, whenever it comes to my doorstep. It also has some international brands advertising indirectly though.
