Employee Highlight: Steve S. Meet Steve S., our resident expert and multi-talented team member at Element Tempe. Steve wears many hats, serving as our Quality Manager, Safety Officer, Deputy Export Compliance Officer, and the go-to backup guy for just about everything. With 22.5 years at Element, Steve literally knows everything there is to know about this facility. One of Steve's proudest achievements is the in-house development of our solar chambers. “They were built from scratch to meet the specific requirements of MIL-STD-810G and have been noted by several clients as having the best spectrum match they had ever seen,” he says. This project showcases Steve's dedication to quality and innovation. Steve enjoys the variety of activities his job offers and values the people he works with. “The teamwork here is exceptional—everyone contributes to getting the job done safely and correctly,” he shares. The varied backgrounds of the staff allow them to tackle challenges from multiple angles to find effective solutions. What motivates Steve? The opportunity to learn something new and the chance to share his knowledge. Born in California and raised in Colorado, Steve has called Phoenix home for many years. Married for almost 50 years (wow!!), he has two adult children with advanced degrees and has had many dogs and cats over the years. Outside of work, Steve is a ferroeqinologist (can anyone guess what that means??), enjoys taking pictures (though he humbly admits he’s not really a photographer), and prefers spending time around green trees and running water. Looking ahead, Steve sees Element growing in both capacity and capability, embracing inevitable change and continuing to thrive. We’re not wired to “go it alone” … although some will argue that they can!   I don’t know about you, but I function best when I’m surrounded by like-minded people.   That’s why I take care in building my team.   When you’ve got the right team: # Communication is easy # Problems are resolved quickly (there’s always problems) # The team has your back # Things move faster (there’s less friction and dysfunction) So you get to where you’re going in a much better state.   An example of a good team I had in the past was architect Bryce Monk, engineer ENGCO Consulting Engineers , planner Jeremy Phillips, fire engineer Geoffy Hill at Powell Fenwick and builders Contract Construction.   This team was built over several projects but then used time and time again … because it worked!   It just goes to show that dreams do come true in groups.   Who’s on your dream team?   #influence #people #transacting #teams

When your company is undertaking a move, whether internally or relocating, the easy thing to do is google 'removals near me' and invite the top 2 - 3 to quote. Get 3 quotes, go straight to the bottom line and opt for the cheapest. Big pat on the back for you for saving money. Until they don't turn up, or they turn up and have no plan, or they arrive in vans when you need purpose built trucks, or they don't understand the project floor plans, until you ask for a foreman and there isnt one, until they scratch all the lift as they dont have protective equipment.
