Wondering how to include potatoes in your summer plans? Check this out!
#Recipeofthemonth: Potato, halloumi and olive latkes Summer is the perfect time to try new recipes, never forgetting our beloved #potatoes 🥔 ☀️🏖️⛰️ This month, we present this wonderful recipe of potato, halloumi and olive latkes featuring fresh Mediterranean ingredients that make it ideal to any summer gathering, from a picnic in the park or at the beach, to a backyard barbecue. Did you know the difference between latkes and potato pancakes? 🧐 While potato pancakes have a creamy, almost mashed-potato-like center encased in a thin, golden, crisp exterior, these latkes offer something different. Latkes boast a deeply browned crust with wispy, lacy edges that are irresistible (no, latkes aren't hash browns either!). Latke's interior is plump and slightly cakey, yet tender, with rustic strands of potato beautifully intertwined with onion. Simply delicious! Don’t hesitate to share this your colleagues, family and friends, or any of the 300+ potato recipes that you will find on the website of our #EUAgriPromo campaign “Potatoes, prepare to be surprised – Europe’s favourite since 1536” 🇪🇺 Check the recipe in 6 languages here: https://lnkd.in/eEtPh7GK

Want to cook vegetables better? ... The new Kismet cookbook turned me onto breakfast-lunch-dinner soup, which I've made several times with lots of vegetables and a couple of eggs stirred in. The marinated feta with spice-roasted tomatoes and grapefruit is "a love match for the ages." The key to delicious broccoli is blanching, then charring (it doesn't take long) and pumpkin seed jazz (the trick here is a "whisper" of finely grated raw garlic). Find the recipes here:
