Taylor Swift finally gave “This Is What You Came For” the Eras Tour treatment this past weekend at Liverpool… oh to be in the United Kingdom that night to witness such glory. So in honor of the song being played for the first time since her 2016 Formula One US Grand Prix concert in Austin, TX, thought to polish off a Reputation (Taylor’s Version) project I started a few months ago with what I’ve been doing lately. It combines what I have been posting this week, with more focus on the vinyl and CD designs. I really wanted to stay faithful to the original 2017 album with minor enhancements (i.e. recent photos, more snake and tour imagery to represent what the album means to fans, etc) and reflect what Taylor has been doing for The Tortured Poets Department campaign. Also paid homage to her 2017 Target CD magazine editions of Reputation. From what I remember, the purpose of making magazine editions of Reputation was on play of the newspaper motifs appearing across the album. It was essentially her re-claiming her reputation and putting her truth out there on her own terms, which I found such defiance against cancel culture empowering and inspiring. Disclaimer: as mentioned on the deck, the primary pictures were taken from the TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year photoshoot where Taylor was in the spotlight. Rock journalist Al Aronowitz's son, Myles Aronowitz, told Julien’s Studios that Dylan wrote three drafts to the working lyrics for the iconic generational anthem, “Mr. Tambourine Man” in Aronowitz’s home on canary yellow paper lifted from his newspaper gig – and that Dylan had thrown them away in the wastebasket before Aronowitz’s intuition told him to retrieve them.   The anecdote of Aronowitz rescuing the discarded lyrics for "Mr. Tambourine Man" from the wastebasket exemplifies their profound symbiosis. It wasn't simply about access; it was about a shared creative energy, a mutual respect that intersected the nuances between journalist and subject. Lyric Theft: When 'Rise Above' Becomes 'Sprinkling Time'" I'm outraged that my lyrics were stolen and altered without my permission. 'I Rise Above like baking powder and fine salt' became 'sprinkling time on my rhymes' in the stolen version. That's not just a minor change - it's a complete distortion of my message and artistry. My lyrics were meant to inspire and uplift, not be reduced to a shallow trap song. My song, 'The Kitchen', was stolen, changed, and offered up for sale! The impostor changed the title [ "3x" ]'Cooking in the Kitchen ^The Kitchen Cook' ^ In The Kitchen >and sold the best verse for $100. My lyrics, my bars, my voice, my truth - all stolen and distorted beyond recognition. It's like they thought they could just erase my creativity and profit from it. Omg 1 min before yr end. Just wanna post this then edit later… Feel like last min submission again 💀 but it was 20s on time! That’s my last artwork of 2024. I have so many pending projects. Sora was actually Hussam’s idea, then somehow Sora came out when the final is over. It is like God’s will. If Sora came out earlier, I may get a few D- in my classes if I were allowed to express myself 💀 So this Giraffe idea came to my mind when I realized that in Music, Art, Tech, or even just life in general, there are a tons of people who try to dress new talk new and act superficially when they climb up their ladders. I get along with the theatre now, but will never look up to those theatre culture in general! What I cannot stand the most is those new rich behaviors… I compare and contrast the phenomenon with one of my favourite artists Marina Abramovic to make a point. Meanwhile that stormy petrel was originally made for a song. The poem was stolen from Maxim Gorky, which I didn’t really like him but I like that poem a lot 💀 I also admire for his referential skills. Since we spent an entire semester taking about coding, I suddenly remember the first time I remembered the Russian word for Stormy Petrel I thought it was “Privet-snik” or sounds like “hello” which somehow reminded me of hello bird and hello world and all those duck studies. Then after being influenced by Prof Nengfa Zhou who was also a referential guy, I somehow found a Zhou dynasty story from like 3000 years ago or beyond. It was about a bird got killed by ocean waves, then she wanna revenge, and she pick up a branch everyday to fill the ocean. The story sounds insane but I like the aesthetic very much. I somehow had serious arguments with my mom online lately, then we kinda reconcile with the Maxim talk, then arguing again. I thought my music history Prof this semester was just like my mom, that whenever you say something politically different they became salty. That’s why I choose a different topic with my Prof and she was very nice in the end. Thus I came up with that crazy poem along with a Tetris idea and a dolphin idea which I will make in the future. During the time I had conflict with almost everyone, and I somehow mentioned “Privet-snik” (wrong spelling) and referential thinking to Professor Polina who was very supportive. Then I found Prof Pavel who helped me with Ru grammar and make sense of some of my own brainstorming vocabularies that had multiple meanings. That’s when Hussam inspired me to write that poem, so he was that bird lol, and the sun beams or scattered light represents all the helpful ppl, I give Prof Jeryl an unique scene which I called Clustered light. So in the end I passed all my courses, with all decent grades. This artwork gonna someday become a music material :3 To be continued…

The way to my heart can not be contained in a t shirt or a notebook. Yet all the items do contain a little help for Joy to contribute via art to our bottom line. More art from her once her grades improve. Can't go around doing art all day like traveling artists now can we! Just think of the amble sails in that dream. The Google map adds ahhh beauty. and if your too busy doing your own art work post a how far you are photo at least let's share some art. Remember you can like, comment etc without costing you that energy is definitely 💯 good for all the Joy it would bring.
