This is Cercle Music, they are a music festival producer from Paris and I've been keeping a close eye on their work throughout the years. They are not your typical organiser, instead of just renting out a warehouse, stadium or some other common venue, they aim to perform in a setting that will make a mark on the attendees. As pictured below, they have organised performances in an Aerospace museum, close to the Pyramids, near the Alps, inside historical buildings and list goes on... What I wonder now is - why has no one in the UK noticed this? Okay, maybe some have, such as KRANKBROTHER with the Solomun/Four Tet shows but apart from that I can't point other examples because they're not common (and I'm excluding here big camping ones such as Glasto). What I mean is a day event such as what Cercle is doing, if you know of any, write them in the comments, I love outdoor music regardless of its genre. The bottom line is, there are many astonishing landscapes (besides parks) and historical buildings in the UK and someone needs to look at what Cercle is pioneering here and learn a thing or two. What do you do after work, I asked you last year, remember?👀 Turns out we shared (much too) many music together after work last year, both in Milan and far from it! To give you some perspective, we did: 60+ concerts, 15+ venues, 4+ states, 2+ classical music festivals and met many new friends from all around the world. Thank you for that - 2023/2024 was quite a music ride with you!🏇 So, as the new concert season opens, sharing now here my 2024/2025 (not just classical) music program: it works the same as last year, although with some improvements. Two preliminary notes to set the tone: 1. We will be listening to a LOT of Ravel, as 2025 marks 150 years since his birth (that's a good thing, if you ask me). 2. My goal for 2025 is to learn French, so when "touring" outside Milan for concerts, we should (collectively) try focusing more on French speaking territories, oui?👀🇫🇷 Have a look and let me know when/where am I seeing you!
